<div class="IPBDescription">2.1 almost finished?</div> On the frontpage flay writes that he wanted to release 2.1 last friday (uh?) but works in progress. Is there a chance that it will be released within the next 1-2 weeks?     The 1-year anniversary on Halloween night would've been a nice time to release it, but not worth sacrificing quality by rushing it out the door. As much as you don't like the "when it's done" answer, think about it this way: when has an official release (patch, trailer, anything) for NS <i>not</i> been worth the wait? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    It looks like he wants it to be more than just bug fixes and combat, judging from the recent "o" changelog. I'm gonna guess...ooo...a month or two.

    It's currently still playing like a work in progress. It's to the point where it's a lot of fun anyway, but there are still substantial balance issues and other things that need to be worked on. Also, we never know how much more new stuff Flayra will decide to throw in. Lerk bite, the new flying system, and cat packs took most of us completely by suprise, and of course everything needs to be rebalanced with these new elements in mind. Yeah, he wanted to have it done by the 1 year mark from the first release, but that just didn't happen with all the new stuff. I honestly have no idea how long it will take, and to be frank, I don't think anyone has a good estimate. However, if you want my rough estimate, I'd say that it will take more than a week, but less than a month from where it is now. Note that this is based on conjecture, and should not be taken as remotely official. It will be done when the devs decide it's done.

    There is no ETA, not even to testers. It will be finished when it's done. It's easily arguable that 2.0's set release date was the cause of the post-release issues, and it doesn't seem that Flayra is going to make the same mistake this time.

    it's 2.<i>1</i>, that's why it takes so long... there's no zero before the 1, which means it includes giant changes....

    2.1o is good... I don't know why people think that the Lerk's physics are bad... they're fine....

    You can glide (hold spacebar while in the air) so much better now....

    My prediction is they are going to add so much new stuff they are going to change the name to v3.0. I'm not serious about that, but it would be funny if they did that, since thats what they did with v1.1(v2.0).

    Only way to do that is to stop playing ciombat and balance 2.1 and stop adding stuff. Just tweak it.
