Most popular song of all time?
Its been redone over 240 times, in 59 different languages. Some have added lyrics, but most stay to the original, just with tempo/rhythem/note differences, along with different voices. Its amazing. It really is a beautiful song. What do you guys think of it?
Also, what do you think is the most popular song? Not your fav, most popular. AND IT MUST BE PUBLISHED OFFICIALLY!

That was the way I was introduced to it.
Ever since, I've gotten about 12 versions of it on my PC from random people. I still like the original frank sinatra version, and the evangelion version the best(in opposite order)

Performed 280 million+ times per year in the United States alone.
Let me restate(and edit): PUBLISHED songs. While many classical songs have, if I remember, the most popular, Canon in D(or Kanon), has only been officially done 73 times. I love classical, so I gotta know this.

Happy Birthday is a published song. In fact its copywrited as well.
Under "public domain" usage you can sing it at your home.
However you cant use it when its involved with proffit making or comerical use.
Thats why when you go into a restuarant and the servers come out and sing to you, its usualy 99% of the time their Restaurants own special birthday song, not "Happy Birthday".
Its all about the Messiah
It's also the closing theme to "Space Cowboys" I believe, so I suppose that evens it out in the coolness stakes.
Then again, there's a version by Tom Jones, so it has to be cool after all.
And remakes say nothing, EVERYONE loves Blur's Song 2.
Everyone loves wha?
As in "woo-hoo!"? Yeah, I guess.
A lot of people don't know the song's name, but if they heard it they'd probably recognise it.
*ahem* wooooooo-hooooooo!
and let me play among the stars,
Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and mars,
in other words, hold my hand,
in other words, darling kiss me...

Ok now someone else contiue with the snd verse.

Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
Third verse take it away....
