<div class="IPBDescription">omg is it true?</div> Ommmgggg....I was just at gamespot and I checked out FF7 just to see the screenshots and to bring back memories when all these new looking cgi pictures showed up! Are they remaking FF7 or making a sequal?

Oommggg....I will seriously crap myself if it's true!

    Nah, it's not a sequel. It's just a DVD animated movie about what happens after the game, or some such. Search for "Advent Children", there's already been 3 or 4 threads about it.

    Although personally I think they SHOULD redo 7 with better graphics. It's clearly the best in the series... so i'm told.

    Otto, FFT doesn't count as a regular FF game. It's FFT.

    That said, I still love FFVII the most. Materia > Guardian Forces, Learning spells/abilities from Equipment

    Nothing like putting a Quad-Summon Bahamut Zero, Final-Summon Phoenix, Mime, Summon Knights of the Round, Quad-Ultima/Flare.

    I think the spell "Demi" is wayyyy underused. However I like that FF7 is the best story I have ever read.

    FF7 is a distant second to FF6, only reason it's most popular is because there are people who have actually never owned a SNES around these days. So if your still wearing your FF7 Fan Boy or Girl badge you should look into emulation cause the real fans are laughing at you.

    I STILL think FF7 was the worst Final Fantasy ever. Mainly I hated each and every one of the character designs as well as their personalities... and if all you want in the game is for the characters to all die horrible deaths as quickly as possible, it's not meant for you I think ^^

    ff3 for snes (ff6) is by far the best in the series and you can see so many ways ff7 for ps copied it if you have ever played it...but ff7 is the next best definitely

    Anything but the FF8 magic system....the worst piece of trash ever invented.

    "Let me use some fire magic...oh wait, then my health would drop after I cast like 3 of them....wait, how bout some Ultima? Nope...nope, that'd drop my cold resistance....what should I do? I'll drop somemore magic because swinging your weapon around and drawing is all you can do!"

    bah.

    FF7's storyline is okay, the magic system, while a depart from the norm, was ingenious and cool. It provided a variety of strategies for the linked materia and it also provided a benefit to buying new armor. I think it's popular because of the plot twist and the numerous secrets in the game.

    They could re-do it...as long as they don't use the "we were trying to make the characters look more like anime" approach.

    I happen to like FFVII the most because of the magic/summon system.

    and FFVI never really got me hooked. Might be the fact that it always seemed to disappear when I wanted to play it.

    and dr. d, you do realize that if they don't own the actual game owning the ROM is illegal and essentially warez talk?
