Trouble With Light_spot

<div class="IPBDescription">Screenshot within</div> As you can see from the picture, I cant get a uniform ligting like the upper section. There are always those bright spots which contrast far too sharply with it's background.

How do I get uniform lighting using light_spots?

I tried using normal lights but they lit up the entire vent from end to end, an effect I dont want (think lost's vents, dark tunnels with lights only at the ends).

Anyway, any help?

The whole point of light_spots is that they only light up a certain area. If you want realism (or as close as you can get to realism in HL), use texture lighting. If you want to keep using entity lighting, try setting the fade value to 2, so the light won't affect faces that are far from it.

I fixed the problem by copying the light_spot's and reversing their pitch angle from -90 to 90. The lighting is now even on the top and bottom of the vent.
