<div class="IPBDescription">Its doooooooonnnnnnneeeeeeee</div> Ok its done. Decided to put up a new post since I asked for a few ideas a long time ago and nobody responded and I'm sure you'd rather not had a dead post come back again.

SO HERE IT IS! I've got a few pics which I will post. I don't have a site to host my pics so I'll put them up one at a time here.

So what I did to my comp...
1-cut it up and put a window on
2- DECALS! Radioactive and Biohazard inside, huge Diamond warning on the side without the window.
3- Added thermometer and indicator
4- added a blue cathode on bottom
5- added some red EL wire (looks orange to me though...)
6- added an extra fan

The whole setup with the lights on (notice there is no NS, this is because of STEAM!)

i don't understand why people do this to be honest but ignoring that fact here's what i think:

It's great but the decals just look odd. I would have used a plain black biohazard outline if it were me. The blue light and red glowing wires look pretty funky though. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Looks good, but has too many wires sticking out. Use radio transmission! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

You know what, I ask myself the same question. But my work is simply the result of three factors.

1- We were cleaning out our garage and I found heatsinks, fans, glass etc so I thought "What the heck? Why not?"
    2- too much spare time
3- A father who owns his own electrical engineering and services company

yep, and if you don't think those are factors because of the way I worded them, use your imagination then <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

That looks REALLY cool, mediocre with light but great with dark.

I bought my case premodded and added a few things after that.

I really think that case needs cleaning up, everything is so...messy - Its so messy it dont look too good.
Well maybe its not messy but theres too many things happening

I have to say that is one of the WEIRDEST PC arrangements I've ever seen....

In the dark its killer but in light not so sure, maybe the window cut could have been more creative, but thats just my two pence.

You actually play at that little computer stand thing? Looks so cramped...

(I'm a big guy, 'bout 6'4", so I like to have a lot of legroom and some good elbow space).

1 thing u seriously need, or actually 2:

    1. Led fans; they look seriously kool in the dark and kinda get u mesmerised.......... and;
    2. Led light that reacts 2 sound thingy; play something with a massive beat and surround and ur well away.

Looks kool, like the stickers inside, mayb u could put som frosted glass decal things on the glass, mayb a biohazard, just ideas.

P.S, plz change the desk lol

I'm guessing that radio active box is ur water cooling system?

and green lighting would look better with teh radiation and all <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Lol, it's still nice. But as others said, you should get a glowing fan thingy. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Bleh, case modding, waste of cash. It's the exact same as ricing your car.

The only cool case mod I saw was a REAL mod: It was a massive plaster woman, some advertising scheme. She had a pack where the drives were set, etc. The computer itself was built into her torso. Looked nice.

Actually another one was a sort of wierd red glowy thing I saw in someone's pic of UVALAN. Completely custom job. Had lights, but not just LEDS lighting up cables. The inside actually looked NICE. You couldnt' see his drives and crap (Who the hell wants to see that anyway)

But this piddly 'buy a clear case and stick as many LEDs in it as you can'... man you need a hobby <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

(For the record, I do have LED fans in my case, but that's because the store near me when I built it sold nothing BUT LED fans...)

They had 4 types of fans. All but one box said 'OMG WITH TEH LED JOO NUB!!!!'.

So I got the ones that didn't mention LEDs.

    Lo and behold...

derick is your glass open? Or is it closed?

If its closed damn that looks ugly, you need to get those things to put the wires around the sides so you cant really see them as much. At least you kept with one color.
  • GoPeDeRiCkGoPeDeRiCk Join Date: 2003-03-21 Member: 14742Members
how dare you!!! thats my "elite" machine!!!1

and what do u mean by open or closed? if there was no glass there that would mean that fan is magicly floating.

get a dremel tool, and etch somethign into the glass, then shine a light on the cut edge of the glass, and the etched part will appear to glow.
