Subtle hints
I think there comes a time in every job, that you get that feeling of... 'time to leave'.

Quite recently my bar has gotten in a new manager. The guy is an absolute ****. On the very first night he's there, we had the whole sewerage leak incident quite a few of you may remember me being ticked off about. So basically I took the foot-stool position that night, and I have regreted it ever since. The next morning, when he lied to me about a shift just to get my to clean up more sewerage, I told him I had 'other family commitments' that day and was sorry.

Wonderful, so more or less because of this incident my regular shifts have been so jumbled up over the last few weeks... but nearly everytime I get on, I get the glassy shift... and he gives the newest guy MY shifts. Yeah, nice work mate...

So anyways... Friday night, after I had requested 3 previous times to his FACE to have the Saturday off he finally caved because I had a 'birthday' to attend... but yeah, I simply love his comments. "Yeah, we're gonna keep you on as glassy for a while and if that works out well you may get up to a bartending position"

YOU ****.

He knows full well I had been doing 95% bartending shifts for 6 months before he turned up on the scene and had occasionally been filling in as glassy.... so now I have been demoted to glassy... wonderful.

Ever heard of the straw that broke the camels back?

And it really really sucks because I did enjoy working at this bar, and every single other manager is great to me except this new one... but as long as he's there, I doubt I will ever enjoy the job again...

For the last few weeks I had been looking for another job, but the incident Friday night has simply stepped up my resolve to work elsewhere... **** arsehole managers >_<

Is there somewhere you can go and try and get compensated for having to clean up that sewerage and so on, if you're gonna go out, go out with more money.

its time to leave when u discover how little other people work for when they do half the work u do. i'm a courier, i work at least 4 mobile hours a day, 6 days a week, for 100 sheets. now consider my sister, she works around 3 hours a day, sitting around, 4 days a week... she gets 150 sheets

    hmm...

and yes, i definatly work harder than her
