Apology
<div class="IPBDescription">It's amazing what we see in our heads...</div>Well, I've never considered myself an ### or anything...but I've recently been looking over some logs..and what I've seen disgusts me. I'm sorry for what I've done and how I've acted and I hope you will all forgive me (Except CD, he deserved more than what I gave him).

This kinda thing was bound to happen sooner or later. It's just a pitty none of us where there to stifle it before everyone embarrased themselves.
Let's learn and move on.

but you'll soon realize that the super admins have nil to do with the channel, which is owned by Comprox and generally considered a fan thing.
From the log, both Jedisar and yourself were banned for being rude and argumentitive. I will leave it at that, and I hope to see you both back there in a few days with vastly altered attitudes. At least one of you already realises their mistakes.
(not saying it in a offensive way to anyone)
Well, that's your desicion, but it's not what I wanted. The biggest reason you got banned was for "feeding" jedi. Yes, I'm sure you didn't say anything off color or too hateful, but by prodding jedi again and again, you brought out some of his bad traits.
Society is a give-take operation. You must understand that all your actions have consequences. It's a basic principle of life. I'd personally love to see you back in the IRC, as you. But you'll have to do what you think is right.

1) <CollateralDamage> is it my fault the ops are uneducated?
2) <CollateralDamage> let's consider another example of retarded rules implementation...
3) <CollateralDamage> only certain people aren't allowed to swear. I have observed this channel well.
4) <CollateralDamage> Us3r, of course we could abide rules we agree with. But why should we abide by silly rules if they aren't enforced? That's not maturity, it's being a conforming sheep
5) <DeathWish-> CollateralDamage: you're expected to be mature and take responsibility for your actions - and that includes abiding by whatever rules are set down for where you may be
<Neck> especially in a channel for a modification of a child's game
<CollateralDamage> HL isn't a child's game
<CollateralDamage> 'mature here, mature there'
*Note the last one was edited to get rid of conversation in-between what Death, Neck, and CD said* There are your examples. I pointed out that you pretty much were not going to obey the rules, thereby, breaking them. If you want to <b> seriously </b> learn from your mistakes there is a good place to start.
I would like to point out a particular quote that I have here...
"<CollateralDamage> only certain people aren't allowed to swear. I have observed this channel well."
When I first started hanging around in the IRC room I was always getting corrected, while others could seemingly get away with anything. In fact, DrunkenBozo and I got in quite the heated debate with an op, I can’t remember whom, in IRC about it. What we got out of it was that the rules are to be obeyed by everyone. Little ol' me, still not pleased with this wrote a good-sized email to MonsE regarding the issue. I just pointed out things in IRC that were against the rules, people got away with them, some other points. I felt the same thing you are feeling now. However, if you really watch the IRC channel closely you will see that the rules are applied to everyone equally. Sure, sometimes if we say a bad word in regular conversation, we don’t get in trouble, however when a <i> real </i> fight, like the one I see here, breaks out the rules are strictly applied. If the rules were only applied to 'certain people' why is jedisar, a 'veteran' of this community, banned as well? I dont see any need for you to change your name, no one has lost respect for you, no one thinks any less of you. I went through the same 'stage.' Don't let this ruin your fun in IRC, just obey the rules like everyone else and you will have a dandy time <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
There should be a big neon, No Feeding the Jedi Sign on the outside of my cage =D
First, I wasnt viewing the chanel at the time this happened. Second, you seem to think #ns is some type of democracy ...
lol
its not.
This thread, while made under good intentions, has now become pointless. The people in power are there for a reason. If they wanted to ban you because of the time of day you joined they could. Just be lucky #ns ops are a hundred more times reserved then ops say from ... #operamod ... <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
Just kidding #OM, I love you guys .. <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
The hypocrisy and hate apparent in this thread proves that my decision to remove myself permanently from that "community" was right.
This is not an admission of guilt, but merely an expression of my desire not be associated with the people who frequent #ns. They speak and dream of "maturity" and try to attain it with kicks and bans, but have no understanding of it.
All my other posts in this thread will be removed to illustrate that this incident is over.
Why? eh ... because ...
I do understand your position, however.
