....
Well I just bought a imported copy from Europe and am installing it as i type.
It seems to be taking 15,000 from my ram yet 100 from my CPU.
Well maybe someday me and quan can play on the 'net together.
I felt that this game would be great from past experience of worms games...yet I just used about 65 dollars.

Ok there are a few reasons why the ninja rope's usage is now cut down to about a 1/3 of it's original coolness.

1.) Whenever you use the ninja rope, the camera zooms to a side on perspective. Now this wouldn't be bad if the ninja rope reacted 100% like the original rope... but now that it's in 3D, it's very very very very difficult to 'bounce' yourself over a cliff edge....

2.) Ok, so you think to compensate you could have 'multidirectional' roping. Wrong... just one direction....

3.) So... now this renders the ninja rope completely useless because if I need to get to island G, and I'm on A.... I gotta use a rope each time I stop/land on an island to rope to the next one... no more '"elite" Ninja Rope skillz'

    bah....

Hopefully a patch will do something about that, but small matter. Worms 3D is freakin awesome to play. I basically played it all day today =D

They b0rked the ninja rope? w00t!

Heh... you see, I never actually had the full game of Worms; only the two-level demo which didn't have the ninja rope. And I played and played and played and played. So I became very good at fighting without it. Nearly all my friends do have the full game, however, so whenever I played it at their place they'd use the damn thing to get from one side of the map to the other effortlessly.

Anyway, it's a lot of fun without it

  • XodlikeXodlike Join Date: 2003-06-03 Member: 16985Members
Yes use the shotgun at close range.
    The crosshair actually MOVES!!
Like imagine the NS crosshair just twiddling around in a circle.SPinning around and around.

Next tip: Get a pizza ready when u install it.Its gonna take atleast 10 min.

Im addicted to this game its just to great.
    Cant.Stop.Playing.

It's a great game, I love it. But the camera sucks total ****, the keys aren't mappable so you have to use defaults, the multiplayer menu is next to impossible to use to join a game, and the shotgun is a long range weapon. It is basically a sniper rifle that prods. One bullet comes out and it lands exactly where you aim it.

    The keys aren't mappable?!

    AAAAAARGH!

This game's slipping further and further down my "games I wish I had" list. I couldn't stand the controls in the demo

I think the worst part is that the video settings are limited to your resolution and refresh rate. It runs unusually sluggish on my machine, but I've got it underclocked so my crapass GeForce2 MX200 PCI won't crash.

Don't get me wrong. I still think it's a great game. I'm just anticipating a patch.

Don't talk about games you haven't even played....

See this? This is the launcher.... this is what opens when you click the default shortcut...

So stop talking like you've played the game because people coming in here deciding whether or not to purchase Worms 3D are going to get incorrect info...

EDIT: Also of note is the command I entered into the advanced box. /INVERTMOUSETP makes both the 3rd and 1st person views un-inverted. So you don't have to go insane trying to aim now....

There are nicer ways to let someone know about a feature they didn't know about.

Oh yeah, you quoted me but you didn't prove my quote wrong. You quoted me that video settings weren't adjustable beyond that, and you forgot to prove me wrong (If I am wrong)
  • InfinitumInfinitum Anime Encyclopedia Join Date: 2002-08-08 Member: 1111Members, Constellation
It's the shortcut that gets put on your desktop... the default one...

You can alter the refresh and resolution in the launcher...
It goes up to 1280x1048 and 85Mhz.
    It is quite adjustable.

Again you have failed to correct me, Infinitum. HAhahahahaha! I am evol laugh me making! But seriously. You quoted me as saying that the only video options are resolution and refresh rate. I'm still waiting to be corrected. All you did was agree with what you quoted me as saying. Now do you want to play a multiplayer game of Worms 3D with me or what?

    ....

It doesn't matter if my desktop res is 800x600, I can still run Worms in 1280x1048.... same goes with my refresh rate...

QUOTE

video settings are limited to your resolution and refresh rate

A normal person reading this would think that Worms doesn't have the ability to change the resolution ingame. That it is locked to your normal desktop resolution and refresh rate...

You can alter the resolution and refresh rate before you enter the game.

    Consider yourself corrected....

    Jesus christ... =/

Wrong. I said video settings. I didn't say there were no video settings, which is what you imply.

I say we stop arguing and play already >.<

I'm with inf on this one, I thought you were saying you couldn't adjust the screen resolution or refresh rate.

I purchased Worms 3D on Friday, it's top notch stuff with some lovely British humour slammed in there. However the lack of configurable controls is a true sin...
