how check r_speeds agian..and i got a error after the compile was done..somthing about mis aligned texture and it says to do alt+p if u have world craft..but i got Hammer..Not WC..so it will take a bit to find prolly..
This is why I absolutely LOVE this forum. The friendlyness (sp?) and the way that mappers with greater skill help out those who want to learn.
Big cudos to you guys taking the time for others that area eager to step in your footsteps.
and on the topic, you are making great progress Shask, we all start "flat and boring" and then onto "sweet brushwork" I guess. As long as you do what YOU want to do, map for you, it will work great.
btw: I'm no mappergenius, but I map what I want to map and will so move forward, but I believe that a map with heart plays alot more better than a map for the eyes.

AND post your compile log so we can tell where's the problem

This topic will be veeeryyyy long if Shask wants to create a whole map lol <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
You dont always have to make your pipes a func_wall, some cases its good, some its not. Check if they should cast a shadow or not. IF it doesn't matter about a shadow, then make it a func_wall or whatever, but if its out in the open, a shadow just lookes better. Theres a billion ways to keep the brush splitting down or stop it where the pipe connects to another brush.
Kepp up the work mate, you have my email and al that, so send a message and i'll keep helping out with those problems.
get the ati_fix patch from fileplanet (or what ever) - it came out about 1.8 - and should be applied after each hl patch - i don't know what the deal is with steam though
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->For some reason a texture has been rotated on the face of a brush until it is "stick out of" the brush face. Causes are usually, but not always: vertex manipulation, clipping the brush, carving the brush, importing a prefab, and sometimes rotating/skewing a brush with more than 6 sides - like a cylinder - without texture lock(tl) on. You could try map problems to see if it finds the error - sometime it does, but more usually you have to hunt.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Just align again your recently manipulated brushes
open check for problems, and find that issue, and click fix
don't worry to much about other things, unless you got a funk_x is empty, then you click goto, and delate it, becuase empty funks can cause errors latter on
