I forgot to mention that Ramses' contest papers own everything <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> That green smudgey corridor...fantastic efx...if that could be done ingame that would own
Not sure... It's just to prevent people from taking my work and claiming it as their work. I don't think it's a big problem to write on your artwork "copyrighted" as long as you don't punish someone how brake that "copyright". But I'm not a lawyer, just an artist  :D
i cant even find the thing to start it <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->
I think the best wall paper here is by Carbon14. Carbon, I think since more people will be standard marines that you should try to replace your center heavry armor marine with a regular one. That way you touch the bases of the marine team - Standard Marine, Sentry Gun, Heavy Armor. Not to mention it would look less repetitve.
Also, I think my message goes out to all people who are making wallpapers. I know that the new heavy armor shots are the hot thing right now - however, it would still be nice to have your standard marine instead of just about every wall paper being the same heavy armor model over and over again. I am aware MonsE said to include the new renders, and I not going against what he said but I just think having the same model in 3 different poses is too much.
i would like to make wallpapers and use a good program for it but i need a new computer as i need RAM (i only got 62mb RAM) and my computer dont accpet ANY new RAM <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->

NO requirements of ANY KIND for anyone on the question of content. Just use your imaginations and think creatively.
However, if would be highly preferrable if you included NS websites' info somewhere on the images, for PR purposes.
And I failed to mention this before, but if people want to be part of an 'offical Readyroom.org wallpaper' pack, you will be agreeing to hand over your work to us to become copyrighted materials. Just like anything you gave us in the past. But post here to your content, I will not grab any of the materials off this topic without consulting the artist first.
lol only my second attempt at a background of NS. here. this is at 1024x768 <a href="http://www.angelfire.com/ct3/cs_khaim/back.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.angelfire.com/ct3/cs_khaim/back.jpg</a> PS, angelfire doesnt like offsite linking so paste the address into the browser address bar.
You can always use this Natural Selection logo. Also, for some reason it isn't showing up period. <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->
lots of these are pretty good, but for most of the people that posted; a background is more than just placing random images about the place and slapping some text on it, you need to put more work in nad stuff. like carbon's. carbon's is great, and so is monkey's.
its unfair tho you just took a picture from ingame !!!
lol...
its still good <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I took a picture in the NSTR. Which is public. I was waiting for someone to accuse me of this. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

Oh, and if you want tutorials...

Anything else?
Please can you tell me/us if it's a requirement to have a HeavyMarine in the wallpaper and if there is a timeline?
As for the wallpapers, I also think that Carbon14s is the best (well, i can't say 'Hey, Ramses makes definately the best wallpapers...' or can I? ).

Silent: what graphics program were you using before GIMP (if you've got that working)?
