They look really cool, but the lighting's nothing to write home about and also it could do with more detail, but otherwise, fine job on the rock faces.

I would remove the stairs and spend the polys on a more random cave. The ceiling and the hallway are too symmetric imo. Also try to get the texture alignment smoother in the hallway. This rock texture does not add enough depth by itself, like the Half-Life textures. They are meant to be used on flat faces or detailed shapes I guess. The rock right to the stairs looks very good. Try more of this. The stretching makes it look like it is washed out by dripping water.

i kinda like the stairs, it sorta helps break the cave up a little. Metroid Prime on the GC did a lot of this. They have rock caves and then they take industrial elements and they shoved them both together. It can really pay off well if done right. Work on your lighting, but nice start.

Thanks for your comments I'm thinking of expanding on that and making it join a rundown complex and make it into a combat map possible make the rines start in the complex and the aliens start in the caves. if i do theres would be 2 ways into the complex from the caves one being a large lift the other being the caves at one end just endig up at the same height. i think i'll stick to that general theme tho i'm geting bored of just spaceships.

Try using some trim-textures on your stairs.

...or use these high-tech ramps from the alien building in Halo. Less polys, but some transparent part in the ramp with lights under it. But steps are fine, too if you can afford the polys. (Remember that they also break the walls around them into many pieces!)
