Most patriots are old people who walk around in berets with baguettes cursing at the younger generation. People my age are either normal or wonder what kind of country we've been raised in.

I speak english very well, *cough* alittle german (and of course, Danish <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> )
I'm fluent in english but I've got some random bits of language under my belt like french, german and japanese. Can't speak/read/write anything fluently outside of english though ^^;
I speak some English and some Spanish. I'm great with Spanish grammar but don't know any of the words <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
I know English, Cantonese (or chinese....they different?) and a little bit of Japanese....very little Japanese courses in HK so that's out of the window....<!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
well, I'm speaking mandarin chinese. (speak, as in don't read/write it)
It's awfully easy, no verb tenses, no plural, sentences like "I yesterday play five of hour computer" so if all you want is to speak chinese, it's very easy. Writing is something else alltogether.
Russian is like German, but with another alphabet and even more declensions.
German (not exceptional, but I guess it passes from what I hear from people) and introductory Russian (gooo Russian 101).
...Maybe 40 words in Spanish and 30 in Japanese.
I'm all for the Romanian and Latin...and possiblt Spanish....but only on my own time if I ever decide to learn them. If you want to learn a language quicker: you have to enjoy it. It's a lot easier to remember things if you can assosciate something with them. Also, if you have fun learning it, you're more apt to pay attention....from my experiance anyway.
I know Vietnamese (I never speak it so I'm not fluent in speaking it, but I can understand it all the same since my family speaks it all the time), and I'm taking French.

Sorry, aside from being a total geek, for what concievable reason would you have for wanting, no even NEEDING to know Japanese? <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> Cuz.... Native language: Danish 2nd Language: English - i'm good at writing it, imo, but i am really bad at talking it, well talking in general D:(i even stumble across my own sentences in Danish at times) 3rd language: German - even though i've had 5 years of german, able to understand it, but not to write/speak it.
My native language is English. I have a Scottish accent and a Glasweigan dialect. I learned German for six years and I'm Ok at it. I learned French for a yea and hated it. Maybe that's because I was doing German at the same time.

Conversational French.
Survival Spanish (ie how to get food and beer)
German swearing.
Latin
And right now I'm attempting to teach myself Dutch.
I'm good with languages, but rather than go for Language and Philosophy, I decided to go for pure science. Pretty dumb idea, in the end, haha.
