<div class="IPBDescription">Just a simple lil trick thingy</div> Well...Im not sure if this was suggested in any other threads. I skimmed over them breifly and found that it wasnt, so here it go's.
I was playing around in a game, and I luv to play as skulk. There fast n deadly <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Anyhow, when we got 2 hives up, we got leap, my favorite weapon. Anyhow, this lil trick is simple, and most people have already prob use it, but those who havnt, here it go's.
The q button I think is the default for the previous weapon button, so go to 1 for bite, 3 for leap, so when you hit Q they switch. Now, have leap as your main weapon, and when you leap at a marine, hit Q, and its back to bite.
Now for some strange reason, ive found that it bites much faster then hitting 1 and switching to bite, IDK why. Im not talking about the time it takes to hit the key for bite, just..it bites automatically. Anyhow, you leap on the marine doing damage per touch, wich is nasty on its own, and youve just bitten him for 50 dmg..just about if he has no armor upgrades or anything, and 1 more bite in like 1 seconds, theres a dead marine <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> I took out a squad of 4 marines with this lil tactic, and its prob a skill most players have already mastered.

Leap just over their head, look down a bit, and as you fly over their head bite, if hes still alive, turn around and charge at him with leap again and bite his head off on the second time round. The best thing about this way is you can do damage without sustaining much damage because by the time they notice where you are, your behind them......... and it looks so cool for peopel watching <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Its also better to bind it to spacebar rather than q so you dont have to take your fingers off your movement keys to use it.
If your a freak and use space as jump (I cant) then you can bind it to mouse2 which is slightly easier than spacebar.

Or you can train your pinky finger to reach over to q and keep moving. The thing is, if you are a leaping skulk, you are already moving and don't need to keep the w keep depressed to keep moving forward. In fact, the best way to get a good leap is to jump and then leap and quickly switch your little pinky finger over to q and get bite. It's easy to do, the problem is that most people can't use their pinky finger that easily.
i use arrow keys, and my way is delete = bite page down = leap i have access to 2 movement buttons + those buttons that change and mouse 2 will always be jump <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Changed in recent versions to prevent scripting... once more it proves that cheaters are actually limiting the truely skilled in more and more ways as we progress through NS's development. You want to really notice it? go fade...
Kinda OT, but I have yet to see a Leap kill in 2.0. Just how bad did they nerf it? I head they removed the framerate damage (along with charge and JP) so how much damage does it do?

And beware of running out of energy if you've been using leap to get around.
