Pair Of Creepy Games...

need assistance with one...
Ok, for those of you who like horror genre games, the relatively new game 'Nosferatu' is pretty fun, has a few surprises, and the background music keeps you on the edge of your seat a lot of the time, just thought I'd share that with someone. One question I do have, if anyone else plays it, is it supposed to have that gritty old movie look to the video? Or is my video card borked? I'm guessing the former, but ya never know.

Secondly, just recently bought off ebay an older game called 'Sanitarium'. While it looks to be a really fun psychological type of game, I can't get it to play under windows xp, despite that on the thing itself it says its xp compatible. I'll see the intro movie fine, but as soon as it gets to the actual gameplay, I get an error and it quits. Anybody have experience with this game?

I haven't played Sanitarium, but with XP you might try changing the executable's property to W98 compatible.

    Silent Hill 2. Really creepy.
Clive Barker´s undying, also very creepy.

Believe me, changing compatability mode was the first thing I tried, but even so it doesn't want to work. Unfortunately the company who made the game has since gone out of business, so I doubt this issue will get resolved.

Yes, Nosferatu (the name of the first vampire movie ever) is supposed to have that gritty look.

Try setting Sanitarium to Win2k compatible, or check the MANUFACTURER website or google a FAQ for it.

I'd suggest heading over to NT Compatible and see if there's a guide to getting it working on there.

Sanitarium, if it's the game i think it is, is actually more of a creepy puzzle game, but there's a good deal of blood, scary children and big barn sized alien growths. It was a fun game.... hmm, might go try finding it, i have it somewhere around here....

Actually there's at least 58 vampire films BEFORE Nosferatu.

    *sigh*

    You humans and your "facts".

Fatal Frame, and its sequel, more than likely.

Otherwise known as Project 0. The sequel is Crimson Butterfly, if i remember correctly, but not out yet.

And also, apparently Crimson Butterfly will not be released in stores in the UK. I feel someone needs to die......

As to Sanitarium, i can't think what the problem is, i found my old discs, installed it, and it works fine....

I freaking hate the people who control what gets imported and what doesnt.

I can't believe Europe missed out on Bushido Blade 2. Thats punishable by death.
