Because I can do things in Video Games I can't in real life. Like kill my stupid teachers, and burn their houses down. Also, surrounding's are beautiful in Games. And playing with other's is double the fun.
i play to relieve stress.... if i'm having a bad day, there's nothing better than connecting to Lunixmonster and blasting some kharaa scum or firing up Halo PC on legendary and pumping lead into an elite, and follow up that barage with a melee beating of his dead carcase....
and i play for the chicks... (cuz you really CAN pick up chicks in a tank!)
Cause if I came up to someone in real world saying: "Hey, could you please run on the wall like a skulk?", aiming at him with an lmg and shooting him this would not be fun. Guess where this IS fun?
Stress Relief: There is no better feeling after a bad day than killing something, virtual or not To escape reality: They allow me to do things that I can't do in real life (at least not without huge consequences) Entertainment: Nothing like an inteactive storytelling medium to fully immerse yourself in the story that is being told
