Updated Fps Increasing Commands?

<div class="IPBDescription">such as the ones in the FPS guide</div> I've read over the stickied FPS guide a bunch of times, it suggests using a bunch of different commands to increase FPS.
I know the guide was origionally written for CS, but I've tried a bunch of the commands and they don't seem to do anything for me on NS2.0

I usually get 70+ fps when i'm starring at a wall, but when the action starts it tanks to around 15, and in some cases all the way to 5. real bummer.

i've got the latest drivers, etc... Just thought that if I could get some of these commands to work it would do something.

specs (for now):
all in wonder radeon (hooked upto TV, vsync off-- have tried a monitor, but no difference)
AMD 900mghz cpu.
win2k fully updated.
512mb ram.
i use openGL at 640x or 800x resolution.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind some help here either! I have tried lots of things in the guides, but to no avail.

My specs:
Intel celeron 466 mhz
256 mb ram
Windows ME
NVIDIA TNT2 PRO
I use Direct3D to play, NOT open GL. I use WON, not steam.

I have a tnt2, you should play in opengl , its faster. Get the latest drivers as well. Play in opengl 800X600 and 16 bit color with vsync off. And turn down every visual you can.

For me, openGL is lots faster and better quality than d3d. Also I was able to get my fps up using powerstrip, which has a thousand features and took me a while to get working but was well worth the time.

google for PowerStrip and give that a try.
