    yeah thats true
and im very concerned about it
but she is an extremely good strangler.
    and hasnt had any problems.
im considering moving her to frozen food, or knocking the rats out before i feed them too her. she doesnt mind unconscience food, but i dont know if she would go for frozen food.

I'm not too sure if snakes eat cold food, preferentially. Also be concerned about the effects on body temperature (and therefore health) of munching cold stuff.

Most "uncoventienal" pets please their owners quite a bit. I used to own a 6 foot long iguana named bowser. He laid on the back of my couch and watched TV. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

When it gets big, get your friends to pay you $10 for each photo with the snake around their shoulders <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

You might want to train it to not kill and eat humans first, though.

Well, only some. You could have like a WatchSnake, and let it outside every night. If some burglar comes to your house, all you will ever know about it is a man-shaped bulge in your snake's stomach the next morning.

    Now that would be cool.

yah, I would say (as long as you are up to it) braining them before feeding them to her, just on the off chance that she might get bit (and infected)

Thats what the guy who ran the animal room at my school would do. Also wouldn't alow any of the students who ran the place to be there during feeding (seeing how as the mice were one of the animals that they had to take care of...)

Yah, I figgure buying the rodents live would be cheaper then frozen (it meens there was no processing done before you got it... Kinda like building your own computer... bad analogy)

if you feed them frozen rats, you actually bake the rat in the oven for a few, to get it warm.
but yeah im thinking of knocking the rat out before feeding her, or doing it once in awhile. these smaller rats, she isnt as at risk. she is, but not so much so as with rabbits, and larger rats.
im gonna get her use to eating unconscience food as well as live. i think that i can do that. cause it is very dangerous to feed live rats, especially when the prey is larger. Ill keep you updated on how she does. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

btw we get rats that have bitten people before, they will sell them to us for 99 cents. so yeah it is alot cheaper. and i dont have a problem knocking the rat out. i take a tazer, put it on the back of the head, and its out cold. and painlessly. they say to put them in a bag and slam them against a counter that can fail once and awhile. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Table method, grab a tail and whack the rat off the table. Instant meal for one.

And We'd is a contraction of "we had" much like I'd is "I had"

uh-huh but only the context of past tense voluntary action; your 'had' was more the meaning which indicates you were required to do it which doesn't work in conjuction with the abbreviated rule =/

    <b>edit:</b> Actually, I'm not quite right, but still <i>'d</i> doesn't work in the context you used it ^^;

We had no choice but to... - we'd no choice but to...
We had often argued... - We'd often argued...

We had to bleed rats... I'm not sure, properly done it'd be something more like 'We'd bleed rats' but that doesn't work in the forceful sense so... um... you should've just used the full version lol. The version you put up just doesn't work for some reason and I'll be damned if I can say exactly why o.O
