These are fabulous; however, as has been said, they're a little dark (and this from a guy whose monitor is optimized for NS). I would suggest maybe bumping up the env_gamma a little, but also try to get some slightly stronger contrast going on - keep shadows, but add some brights to accentuate them even more. The atmosphere is great - very foreboding - but I have a feeling things may get frustrating with so much darkness.

I agree with Coil about it being a little too dark, the only thing other than that I don’t like is the texture (HL ewww <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->) and positioning of the lights in the two hive room pics. Lights on the fronts of the stairs just seems a little odd and impractical, perhaps you could inset the lights into the stairs and then place a grate or something infront of them.
Floresant lights in the fronts of the stairs... I must be watching too many gameshows. I've modifed them as per manah's suggestion.
About the lighting, I <b>haven't</b> compensated for my gamma setting of 1.5 in these screenshots. I do want to have plenty of shodows in her so skulks can drop onto marines fromm the darkness. I won't rule out more lights in the second pass.

You might want to increase the amount of light being shone from each light. Sometimes when I see a light in a map and it isn't illuminating anything, it looks out of place.
I REALLY like the 1st shot, with the 2 corridors.
You might also want to jazz up the T-Junction, whatever that is. I have no idea what its strategic importance is D: but it just kind of looked bland. Maybe a cool glass screen array in the middle?
The entrance to the hive... perhaps you could have little branches of growth coming down... perhaps wrapping around the ladders, also maybe "dripping" down.

I LOVE the hive room in the third page, last pic. Keep it dark there. I was looking at the image and I read the caption "this is a hive room eh?" and all of a sudden I could make out the details of the alien hive ceiling hanger thingy... wow.
Also, the map has a very nice blue-green feel to it, don't add red lights in the middle of the blue green parts. Lights that are different from the general color really just make a map look goofy. D: So keep it they way it is, if you add light make them blue or green (like you have been doing).
Again for the ladder: hive growth wrapping around them! (make it still climbable of course) You might want to make one ladder totally infested, perhaps even snapped in half by the growth, and have the other one slightly infested.
