    Exit STEAM, go into your STEAM folder, delete ClientRegistry Blob File, restart STEAM, and you're all set.

    I had the #steamroot thing all it did was change the name from options to the directory shortcut... it did not prevent you from clicking on it.

    No, but since the tabs in the option menu are now huge names with equally huge sizes, the majority of the options are cut off.
