<div class="IPBDescription">Heh heh, idea . . .</div>If you haven't taken a look at paroxysm, check it out. I just registered there last night. They aren't as far along as NS community wise (and you all know where my preference lies), but the mod looks interestign enough to be worth a look. Im posting because I think its funny that there is some hostility in the paroxysm threads toward NS, but not Vice versa. Than, I had a vision. Paroxysm fans fightin NS fans as memebers of the "Alien Repel Unit" and the :"Trans System Authority". ARP vs. TSA. MArines Vs Marines! Theres your enemy, right there. hah hah. Just a thought. Kidding, kidding.
Note: Please dont register at the paroxysm forums, than spam them with "NS R0XX0RZ3 4ll Y0UR B0XXoRZE!" and stuff. Just check it out, and register to help close this rift and give the mod a helping hand. As LONG AS YOU DONT SPEND LESS TIME AND EFFORT HERE ON THE NS FORUMS. heh heh.

    Oh, definitely. The only commonality is that they are both set in the future. Different timpe periods, different principals, different gameplay (kinda looks like Sven Co-Op in the future). Thats why I dont understand this "war", both mods are in entirely different Niches and appeal to different kinds of people. I just posted this to see if we could get a migration of intelligent posts over there to turn that floundering arguign forum around into soemthign that will help out that mod. All you need is love.

    If you're the same Maveric from the Paroxysm forums, congrats!

    You were one of the few voices of sanity in that flame thread, along with MonsE and a few others.

    I personally don't like the look of Paroxysm at all, just mindless shoot-it-if-it-moves-and-if-it-doesn't-move-shoot-it-anyway gameplay. I was impressed by the low-poly alien models and nice looking guns though.

    One of the main things that will prevent Paroxysm from being a "Just shoot it" mod is the fact that the guns overheat, so just firing it for a few seconds would be...bad.
