Hl Directory

I'm about to replace some sounds for HLSP and I was wondering how the sound folder looked like. If anything just the weapons' folder and what file names whatever sound would be.

    I think you would have to edit the .pak files....Use pakscape. (attached)

    HLSP stuff is all contained in a .pak file. Use the program to browse it.

    In that case, can someone direct me to the pak. for hl. I did look for it ahead of time, but since steam it's disappeared. I'm sure it's all about the GCF files though, now.

    For HL (not cs retail) go to C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\valve

    Steam doesn't use pak. files. Just need an example of how the hl sound directory looks like, with filenames and all.

    Hard to tell what you mean really yoshi, but here's a screenshot of the pak file's sound directory structure - I suggest if you want to take a peek inside the folders you just use a pak explorer to look for yourself. That would be easiest.

    Man, okay, here.

    Steam... does <b>not</b> <i>use</i> PAK files.
