Func_nobuild

I used this in 1.0x fine. I just put it below the floor and it stopped anything from being built anywhere above it. That no longer works. I also tried putting it above the roof and it didn't work either. The only way I managed to get it to work was to put it actually on top of the floor (1 unit above). This isn't ideal as it clips players.

Is this how it is supposed to work? Whats the reason for it clipping players? It also used to make the structure red when you hovered it over a func_nobuild, now it just stays green but won't build?

It all seems a bit weird and hard to believe it was designed to be used the way I am using it.

    Try creating a 32 unit tall func_nobuild on the floor using the AAATRIGGER texture and see if that works, weird <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah the only way to use it now is to create a 1-unit thick layer on the floor so it isn't too noticeable.. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm not completely sure this will work, but have you tried making the brush a func_illusionary, render mode additive, amount 0 (so it will be invisible), and covering it with nobuild (the texture)?

    Nope I didn't know there was a nobuild texture. :o
