May you be beaten with a big stick by a naked man.
Is there anyway I can listen to this on the internet as I have a distinct lack of options in the UK, damn my mother not getting NASN
Joe Zimmer is one of the Yankee's managers, and he's 72 with two knee replacements.
It's 4-2 NY in the top of the 5th.
Yankee's win, 4-3 at the bottom of the 9th.
EAT THAT RED SOX!

Oh, you left the bit out about how Zimmer charged Pedro and came in swinging . . . that's sort of important. Also, he's not a rickety little seventy two year old-- in this image, he's the guy on the left. He's a mountain of flesh.

Sorry, but I'm more or less completely disgusted by that game.
Pedro pitching at Garcia: Intentional, and incredibly stupid.
Garcia cleating Todd Walker: Intentional, and ugly. It's really difficult to try to take the high road and the low road at the same time.
Manny:100% crazy. The pitch was high, but completely over the plate.
Pedro tossing Zimmer: Sorry Zimm, but it's your own Damn fault. He charged Pedro. Pedro is a starting pitcher, and I don't think he's required to--within the second or two of reaction time that he was allowed-- take Zimmer's health into consideration before his own, especially during the plaoffs. Zimmer charges him, he should be accountable for what happens to him. It's been said before (back when he was a manager in Boston) that if Zimmer didn't have that metal plate in his head, it would be completely empty. I tend to agree.
The bullpen fracas: Starts off with stupidity on the part of the groundskeeper for waving a rally flag in the opposition bullpen. That stupidity truns into a fight-- which, all witnesses outside of the Yankee organization (including two policemen) says was started by Yankee reliever Jeff Nelson. The groundskeeper ends up with cleat marks on his back and arm, which seems to suggest that he was on the ground for some of the fight, and losing pretty badly. Assault charges may be filed against Nelson and Karim Garcia.
What a nightmare. I don't think either club can be too proud of this game, and I think Pedro and Manny now have a lot to make up for.
i KNOW lol
so much more stupider. ^_^
and I loved the Conan joke:
"Trying to appease Red Sox fans, Yankee stadium was selling beer for Bostonians. At the end of the game, no beers had been sold. They then determined that Red Sox fans still aren't buying that the Red Sox are in the playoffs"
conaaan!!!
The guy who dropped down into the bullpen wasn't a fan but the groundskeeper for Boston. BathroomMonkey already explained the details of that so I'll just stop here.
