What about real-time progress on the site (by day)

I think it's a good idea, but the devs are far to busy at this point to keep udataing it.  It would be very cool if they could, though.

<a href="http://www.readyroom.org" target="_blank">The ReadyRoom</a> is updated a bit more than this site, but there wouldn't be much use in having a site about it's progress being updated every so often. Something like a Friday Grab Bag would be good, where every friday a special update is made regarding new information, screenshots, and forum discussions =]

I dont know about Daily updates (althougt that would be awsome) however a weekly thing like Rafe suggested would be nice.  But then again, as long as we get our 15 or so screenshots every week I dont really have to know what problems they have corrected  <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

The Playtests.... the RCs...

Just about every week MonsE makes a post on RR.org/these forums and has a bunch of screenshots.  I say just about every week becuas sometimes (like a few weeks ago) they dont have a playtest.  Playtests are usually held on the weekends so around monday or so we usually get some ss's of it.

But this time you said 'Just about every week' which is more true than what you said, and I quoted, in my previous post.

but remember if we want a progress indicator the release is going to delay.
at the moment it's better to let the ppl keep testing and working on NS than on the NS site.

Anywho, from what I've heard, the August 1st progress report is the most information ever given to the public on the progress for NS...

So don't expect much until one day you goto Natural-selection.org and you see a new flash opening and the website revamped...

i totally agree wit u zcaliber. for priority, the game should be ultimate, then the other stuff like the site. i dun think there's any problems wit the site neways.

well, readyroom is more updated then natural-selection but.... i always seem to think that the news updated on readyroom, that isnt updated on ns.org, isnt very important.

for example, the german site, i read that in the forums, so i didn't need the update, or the screen shots, those are in RC5 and topics like that, however i find natural selection has useful updates, such as progress.

Also, i dont mind if they dont update EVERY day, but it's been a little over two weeks now. It starts to make me aggitated and cranky, not knowing what's going on.  <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

You all understand that you sound a bit like spoiled brats right? Go check out other mods, like Hostile Intent or DoD. They update their pages with new game info once every few <i>months</i>.

You will soon have the game, and we don't always have time to post news and screens. So just be patient. Especially you, Tick. Being snide is a sure way to get me good and angry.
