we need help
I dont know if there already is a topic on this (if there is web it or something or smack me and point it out if it is webbed cause I never found one) but there needs to be.

I dont know jack about mapping. I'd like to start though cause I got 2 diffrent map ideas that would be hella tight if I can start working on it. Im *decent* at doing stuff akin to mapping, but I dont know what programs you would use or well, ANYTHING so can someone help meh?

I need help badly even if it is just a pointing to a FAQ I havent been able to find.

This probably should have gone in the newb help forum. That's another place to look for help as well.

First: Learn to read the stickys to prevent flaming
Second: Acctually, there is no second. Most of the info you need is in the mapping FAQ.

Good God I am out of it today. Right there. At the Top. Sigh...

I blame all this on only have 60 ounces of Mountain Dew, and my hl_res.dll going away, a Steam incident, and me having to reinstall the HL Series, 8 Mods, skins for everything in CS, and 28 maps with all my backup CDs in Alaska (not form there Im not) thanks to a friend who moved there after borrowing them to get said maps and skins.

    Oh thats a bad day...

As NS is an HL mod, you'll have to use a HL compatible editor. Mainly, people use Hammer (the newer version of Worldcraft), QuArK, and Radiant. If you've used one of them before, and are comfortable with it, there isn't much reason to change.
