<div class="IPBDescription">...and remixes?</div> Hello all.
Have a confession to make.
...
...
I'm a sucker for old school video game themes <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I especially like updated techno remixes of said themes.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has a similar taste for them and happens to know of any sites dedicated to sharing a collection of these <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Any assistance that can be offered greatly appreciated

    Also try vgmusic.com. More midis than youll ever need. I myself have the Ocarina of Time Concerto. And most of the Chrono Trigger Music. May I suggest the Mario/CT Battle theme? good stuff.

    But if you have a crappy wavetable, such as the standard SB Live wavetable, you probably don't want midis, so stick with OC remix. When people ask me "What kind of music do you like?" or "What bands do you listen to?" I invariably refer to OC. They rock. Anything that they put out and I don't like is a RARE EXCEPTION, and worthy of grand note.

    Theres a lot of cool remixed stuff at www.mp3.com, you just gotta search through the genre menus until you find a list of all the genres, then find video game music.

    How dare this thread go by for so many posts without mention of the <a href='http://www.minibosses.com' target='_blank'>Minibosses</a>!!!!!!!

    Funny how many threads there have been on this topic as of late. Anyway, <a href='http://www.mirsoft.info/news.php?id_lang=0&PHPSESSID=c799c71da38ef2e4009bf5e6740ee917' target='_blank'>this place</a> has a lot of good stuff; mostly actually ripped from the games themselves (not crappy MIDI interpretations, actually the <i>original</i> crappy MIDI music <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->).

    Oh, and special case: if you happen to have the original Command and Conquer and want the music, there are various programs around which allow you to open the content files and find the music (much like opening pak or wad files), which are in .wav format (much better than MIDI).

    They took down the E1M1 remix from Overclocked as it wasn't a proper remix.

    But the song was so elite!

    Do not fear, it lives on in my hard drive and in the many, many video game mp3 cd's I burn!

    And yes, it is truely a kickass song. To those who don't have it, you finally have a legitimate use for Kazaa (as this is one song that's legal to swap): search for E1M1 OC and you're bound to find it.
