Hi all!
1 years ago i found a tutorial that speak about the glow/lighting effect in one of the NS map.
Now I'm not able to find out.

I think (but I'm not sure) that Relic25 wrote this tutorial.
Mail to him is impossible and his macromedia-website don't work for me ( http://www.deltatraining.com/relic25 )

Anyone remember or read that tut and can send to me ??
The website work on your pc ??

TNX a lot for your help!

What exactly are you trying to learn about the glow textures, in regards to NS? If you just need to be shown how to use them, I can explain that.

You need to use the 'normal dark' version of the texture somewhere.

Then make another brush 1 unit above the 'dark' texture, but covered in 'NULL' texture all over, the flat medium-blue from ns.wad that's roughly the same colour as the background of the forums.

Now, take the one face of that brush that's pointing the same direction as the 'dark texture' face on the original brush, and texture it with the 'glow' version of the texture.

Finally, make the 'hovering' brush into a func_illusionary.
    Set the RenderMode to Glow.
    Set the RenderAmount to 255.

    That should be it. :-)

Is there a reason to use "glow" instead of "additive"? I read that glow was used to set up glowing light sprites.

My appologies. I wrote that all from memory. You're both right, use Additive, not Glow. =^.^=
