Keep in mind that TVs have excessively poor resolution. Not even 640x480 most of the time. Really big TVs just blur the lines between the actual pixels alot so you don't notice the jaggies.
A digital projector, on the other hand, can go much higher, but will be much more expensive for anything decent.
Solutions: make sure your monitor is decent (17-21 inches, good picture quality, not of a brand that will die as soon as warrentee expires, supports many refresh rates).
