    Thats right it was Edwards.
What an ugly SOB that guy is.
I love when Michael McDonalld from Mad Tv made fun of him.
And he had the really ugly teeth... LOL

"Ok Does anyone in this area know a person who died named, steve or mick, or frank, or andrew?"
    "I do!"
"Ok and did they die from something wrong with there, lungs, or skin, or heart, or brain or legs?"
    "Yes!.. OMG!"
"Ok and he says that you do something with your hands, Type or build, or dig or open doors or wash them."
    "Yes thats right I do!"
"Ok now hes telling me that he was glad that he died."
    "What.. WHy?"
"He says you did something, with the house or car or chair or money or place?"
    "I got the house painted!"
"Yes thats the thing, he says the colour was ugly and he killed him self as a result."
"But he died in a car accident"
    "Yes, he crashed on purpose!"

    BIGGEST DOUCH EVER!

I'd just like to say that I watched Derren Brown play Russian Roulette on TV and it was very entertaining.

Personally I like Derren Brown's style and am amazed by what he can do.

I also like David Blaine's magic - he seems a bit to self obssessed to me but I like what he can do, however him sitting in a box does nothing for me.

I have to totally agree with you. Derren Brown is great, while his usual stuff is pretty simple stuff, it's just clever the way he makes it work, then explain it all.

And again, David Blaine's street magic is great, very entertaining stuff.

And Johnathon Edwards.... urgh. I hate that program, but my g/f seems to love it.

I've never watched that Russian Roullet person before (and i didn't see that show either) so i can't say much about it.

I like david blaine. He's good, he entertains people, and there's nothing wrong with that, no matter how he does it. He's in a box. Stupid, people think, yet he has a huge crowd underneath him almost constantly. So he's obviously entertaining some people in some way.

I don't really care about that trick. I hope he lives, that's all. But for people who don't like it, don't watch him. Don't go there and throw paint, rocks, shoot bb guns and shine laser pens in his eyes. That's just stupid.

Everyone saying that he did it for publicity, I suppose that he could have done but don't forget he had a 1 in 6 chance of blowing his head off and it takes some real balls to trust yourself that much.

X_Stickman I recommend you look out for Derren Brown's Mind Control its very good - "This is the dog you are looking for" is pure magic.

Another one to look out for is a lesser known English magician called Paul Xennon, something like that anyway, he is occasionally on Channel 4 and he's not bad <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    David Blaine is teh idi0t.

    Derren Brown is teh d00dzor!!!!one

    [/hax0rspeak]

David Blaine is currently performing one of the stupidest stunts I have ever heard of. Did he really expect people to keep watching for 44 DAYS? He isn't even breaking any records, it is purely for the publicity, as many people have said (O.k, sure, he might be doing it to "see if he can", but doesn't the fact that he stands to make several million in advertising say something?).

Derren Brown on the other hand, does not claim to be a magician. He reads body language, and he quite often talks through his "mind reading" as he goes.

He also "suggests" things to people. My favorite stunt was when he made a black belt in karate (?) double up as if he'd been hit, which Derren was standing across the room. He "suggested" to the guy that he'd been hit.

Of course this would be little use in a real fight, since it requires constant eye contact. But he still pwns you all. (yes I realise it could have been easily faked)

So to conclude: David Blaine used to be cool, Derren Brown most certainly is.

    I really must stop using l33tspeak to emphasise things <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

That's what the darwin awards are about, celebrating the fact that these idiots have improved the human genepool by removing themselves from it.

    Darwin awards pwn j00!

One thing i've wondered about this whole David Blaine stunt. I wonder if he'll sign some big-cash deal with a famous food manufacturor to say that the first thing he'll eat is their product.... hmm.....

And he'll probably give the money away.

Anyhow, Paul Xenon.... used to do stand up comedy, then moved to magic. Me rates him as Has Been.

The Brown Mind Control stuff is very good and very effective. Using neurolinguistics and other nefarious persuading tricks. Did you know thats the sort of stuff they teach to government representatives? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I feel sorry for David blaine, he's just trying something out really, it's like you wanting to see how long you can sit in a chair then me coming up to and abusing by throwing objects at you, pointless isn't ?
His street magic is good, even though i know how some of it works, it's nice to see how people react and freak out.

Derren Browns Russian Roulette was terrible which was a dissapointment as he's a very good.

    few things:
    1) Blaine, if primarily a close up magician (card tricks, coin tricks and other nifty stunts)
So what if you know how some of his tricks are done? (so do I, I can infact do a good # of them)
For those of you who don't know much about magic, 'mind reading' is not that hard, the normal meathods are force and knowing human nature

thing of a 2 digit number, that both of the ##s are odd and different
As I remember the most comon #s are 35 and 31 (not positive bout this), however ussing this simple trick you will hit on target nearly %70 of the time. You can than improve the odds by preparing a few different places that you wrote down diff #s (card in left/right pocket, card still in a pack, the pen you gave them, the other side of the piece of paper you gave em etc)

Reviving a fly? so its still a nifty trick if you don't know it, and they way he pulls it off is GREAT!
So yah, I know how even more of his tricks are done, It is still GREAT to watch how he pulls them off (I rarly catch the Move, and I am often watching for it)

As for Penn and tellers bullet through th glass? You missed a few points
    1) The casing AND the slug were signed, after being signed no one crossed the dividing line
    2) the gun was a REVOLVER, no muzzle loader, no way of palimg the bullet (the signiture was clear as the bullet was loaded, and it was made clear that there were no other bullets chambered)

    So yah, its a trick but its a GOOD one that I honestly don't know <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
