I dont think most of you got what i was saying. Im saying that if you have no real big problems(pop-up menu), than you should seriously think about going to steam. Im a messanger for all the other steam ns users, they all say "i hope won shuts down the servers so we can have more people playing". They all encourage (and me 2) that if you have steam working go for it. What is there to loose besides little problems that rarely affect you. (I know some of you have bigger steam problems that that).

I haven't installed Steam yet and I don't plan to until a Official release is out that is glitch free.
So most likely I'll switch over when I have to. That being when the won servers shut down.

I would like to love steam... but it refuses to let me play even though i did everything stated on this forum...

    Main-gamers.org forums...

    Steam forums...

    Counter-strike forums...

I reinstalled HL 6 times total...

I uninstalled and reinstalled steam 2389529 times (yes, even using regedit to clear out those little pieces of crap left over from steam)

I reformatted my C drive once

AND GUESS WHAT IT DONT freaking WORK YOUR ALL GONNA DIE CAUSE IM GONNA KILL STEAM AND THEN I WILL BE THE MASTER!!!!!

    frustraition breeds insanity...

hey trev, can you run TFC/CS/whatever on it or is it just not running at all?

and as for the "I'll wait until WON shuts down", what about when NS2.1 comes out? That'll be fully steam supportive and I've seen a few servers saying they'll do the full switch when 2.1 hits.
Just curious to see what people have to say really <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I too think 2.1 is when the majority of players should make the switch. The rest can move when WON is shut down. That doesn't mean it's not a good idea to be an early adopter. My Steam NS works great most of the time, but that can't be said of other users whether it's based on an uncontrollable bug or the lack of information. It would be nice to have more players on Steam, but I'm actually pretty happy with the games I've played so far. The good servers never seem to be full for long.
