<div class="IPBDescription">... the teams name ?</div> We know that it is the Frontiersman against the Kharaa.
So why is it "Join Marine" "Join Alien" ingame ? It reminds me of the alien movies when worded like that! (altough the terms are perfectly applicable). I don't know why I feel that seeing "Join Frontiersmen" "Join Kharaa" would be more immersive.
Was the decision to put those name because the spacing the other wording took ?

But, its easier not to. Also, its less confusing for new people (no surprises when they walk through the join alien portal).
That and lets face it, its easier just to refer to them as marines and aliens. The scoreboard shows them as Frontiersmen and Kharaa.. so.. ya. Its kinda one of those "Just because" things
The ns.wad texture file has simple "Join Marines" and "Join Aliens" because the Frontiersman are indeed marines, and the name Kharaa wasn't even known until around a week or 2 before 1.0 release, if memory serves.
Simply put, nobody's made new textures for the names, and I'm pretty sure it might through a person off if there's no continuity in mapping ready rooms.
