Bah. It's off-the-shelf parts slapped in an off-the-shelf case, with good marketroid speak slathered over the top. :b

I've built a low-end version of same in the past... a lot of its 'exclusive features' are just a FlashDisk solid-state drive, a decent mobo, and few PCI expanders. Oh, and of course the pretty triple-monitor pegged at the top to catch the geeky eye and make it ignore the rest, such as how to build one yourself for a lot cheaper than they're asking. :b

Its a great system and for the price you couldn't find some of these parts anywhere else.

Uh. No. That's a standard, purchasable case. The CPU is not 'controlled' by the compressor, the power supply to the motherboard is. Standard on even a Vapochill case.

And 2TB of storage? They mean RAID. Get a mobo with a RAID controller on-board (they've been around for a while... hell, I have one I'm not even *using*, that's capable of 2TB) and you have all that storage space. Hope you don't intend to put anything in the case but hard drives though, as even that case only has a standard six-bay, plus a two-bay 3.5" expansion receiver (where your floppy/zip drives go). Read a little closer and that '2TB' is only realized with eight drives. Meaning the system only supports up to 250GB drives. Otherwise, that spec would be higher with some of the 300GB/320GB drives that are already on the market.

Not exactly... it uses a FlashDrive for OS files. Main storage is still on HDDs... it's just the 'customized' (somehow) version of WinXP that sits on the flashdrive, likely eating the primary IDE chain just by itself.

You guys are silly if you really want it there's a simply way to do it, buy it on a credit card and make sure you pay extra for all the insurance features. Wait about 4 days after you bought it then have a friend break into your house and steal it, collect on the insurance money and bingo, you now have 2 free $8,000 dollar computers. (two if they decide to replace it instead of giving you cash)
