To turn off the resource tower notice
And quite frankly, I'd like to know why it was implemented anyway. If you know the map, mearly knowing how many resource towers the opposing team has allows you to figure out exactly what resource towers they have, without having to actually look for them.
In my opinion this is silly, and should be removed entirly.
Regardless, I had heard that is was a server variable that could be turned off, and if so, what is it? I'd like very much to disable this.

You need to turn on tournament mode to turn it off.
Actually, no. Its timed at something like every 20-30 seconds...

If you barely even notice it, why do you want it turned off?
I think it serves a great purpose; many a time has it motivated my team to work harder at taking out enemy res nodes, among other things.

More like every 3 minutes or so.
It is each team's job to figure out how many res each side has. Now, it makes it impossible to get a res up without the other team knowing.
Say you're down to 1 res and trying to make a comeback. You have someone sneak off and put up a tower... But wait! God has decided to tell the other team that the enemy has done something.

Absolutely. The reserved slots code is a custom modification, and I've never seen another server with a policy like it. Once you have joined a public slot, you will not be kicked due to a player joining who has reserved access. There are 10 reserved slots, and 8 public slots. Public players don't use reserved slots, and members don't use public slots. People learning the ways of our server (teamwork, respect, etc) like that because they know that they're not going to get kicked right in the middle of an awesome game. And we've been known to have some amazing games!
