<div class="IPBDescription">Do the hives contribute</div>You know wher aliens can see where marines are if another alien can see them.  Does this work for the hives?  What I mean is if a marine comes into the hive's line of sight can the other aliens see that marine?

I woiuld like to think they can, as being able to see the marine isnt really going to help that much, if your an alien and you see a marine in a certain direction, your not going to know that he is attacking the base. Unless the aliens have a warning alarm thingy, then it wouldnt be such a good idea.

It'd be cool if hives gave off huge amounts of pheromones if enemied were very very close to it, or attacked it, much like wasps, they all go crazy when the alarm pheromone is released, this could warn aliens the hive is under attack

And the aliens get an attack boost from these pheromones like the lev5s roar thing? Kinda like a mother's instinct affect.

after all, it is their mother

i don't think the hive is only the mother. i think the hive IS the aliens. Just like the collective, the aliens do not have a mind of their own... the players do, but they just 'play' everything the hive wanted the aliens to do.
