Fade Key Binds And Aliases

Some of you fade players must share your key binds and alias with us. I've been seeing some incredible fade playing, but I have yet to put together an alias that does what I've been seeing.

I wrote one last night that used the RMB to blink and the LMB to swipe, but it still doesn't switch weapons as fast as I've been seeing some other player do it.

Well I think most people just use lastinv... It seems like they are doing incredible stuff, like killing you practically before they land, because they've gotten it down to where they have their trajectory set, blink, and use last inv before they land, being ready to swipe when they get there.

Aye, lastinv is your friend. I changed my whole gaming setup around to get a lastinv key in reach last week.

Well...I've tried that...and it doesnt seem as fast as I've been seeing some other players do it. I know my RMB-LMB thing is much faster than "lastinv".

I don't know if you know this or not, but you can strike with swipe about a second, or less, after you hit lastinv. Even if you attack while the claws are still reappearing. And even if it doesn't show you attacking it will still do the damage. This is assuming you have hud_fastswitch enabled of course.

    hud_fastswitch 1
    2... press mouse1.... 1... press mouse1 and so on.
    works just fine

and yes... there is a slight dely when taking out the swipe ;o

Massively using lastinv is confusing at first... it's not totally reliable and requires quite a bit of coordination , but the gain is worth the risk. It's better to lose 1/4 second blinking into marines , rather than 3 if you put down the console instead of pressing the "1" key. I now use middlemouse to lastinv , though reloading has to be done manually (through rightclick menu)

Just reiterating what others have said - that way you know you can trust it.

Lastinv IS your friend. As fade, you'll spend 90% of your time lastinv between blink and slash. Rarely will you touch meta and almost never will you be in a position where AR is better.

i dont know about your desk, but arrow keys are well out of the way for me, hurts my wrist. i think this is why WASD is so more widely accepted.
plus you got loads of buttons around your fingers for other binds.

    WASD is the way

    <!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->alias +blinkswipe "slot2; wait; wait; +attack"
alias -blinkswipe "-attack; wait; wait; slot1"

    alias +leapbite "slot3; wait; wait; +attack"
alias -leapbite "-attack; wait; wait; slot1"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

    Works like a charm.

Just bind +blinkswipe to RMB. When you hold the right mouse button, you blink around and when you release it it automaticaly switches back to swipe. Clicking the LMB will cause the current weapon to attack. I found a similar set up useful for the gorge too, RMB heal spray spams and when you release it switches back to spit. You might have to adjust the number of "wait"s to get it to work right on your machine. You must have hud_fastswitch "1" on your machine or it won't work...well it will but it has to be much more complicated
