sorry, but this is a newbie seriously trying to get over the initial tsunami of visual stimulation that i see at readyroom.org, and NS main and sister sites. im trying to think about my project now but all i see in my head is 4 troopers in power armour storming down a hallway, excellent overall visual quality, lotsa alien blood spraying all over and a level 5 romping around happily mauling people.

and then im going to be a level 1(what do u ppl call it? a Bob?) ...a Bob... happily running around and clinging to ceilings and biting the ### off any wandering souls >:3 nyeheeh!

If you would like to keep your limbs (or be accepted into the community, either one), then you <b>do not</b> call the Level 1 a 'bob'. It does not suit him and the person who came up with it should have their trousers confiscated.

They all have nicknames, mainly because the NS team has'nt officially named/or released the names of the aliens. Zophar the names are as follows.

LvL 1 - 'Bob'
LvL 2 - 'Pudgey'
LvL 3 - 'Flier'
LvL 4 - 'Blinky'
LvL 5 - 'Tiny' (Should've been named Fluffy though. ^^ )

Yes, they've been given nicknames... but we're trying to kill the nicknames so that when the official names *are* released, people actually use them.  I've also found that every playtester pretty much stops using the nicknames... when you finally first get mauled by a Level5, you realize just how inappropriate the nickname "Tiny" is.

Ya, Bob is the Level 1, though Flayra 'n MonsE don't particularly care for the name. T3h forum is pretty much split 50/50 on whether Bob is a good name or not.

It's usually the ones who got scared by Bob upon entry to the forums that like 'im.

I've got no problem with Bob for the level 1, but I absolutly hate the rest.  You know why?  Bob is spontaneous, and has absolutly nothing to do with the level 1 alien, so it's funny.

The rest are tied in some way to the alien's physical or attack abilities, which makes them all cliché.
