Can Sieges Shoot U While A Bulding It Is Cloaked?

    only when they're uncloaked because they attack and a marine can see them or if the comm scans which uncloaks everything anyways.
    It's pretty hard to get ASCs to shoot stuff without a scan usually anyways =/
    Things have to be in a marine's view for a couple of seconds before they finally lock on and fire so a marine jumping around the corner constantly with ocs cloaking and uncloaking around it won't cause the ASCs to fire <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Thanks alot. Hey does that mean i can put a sc around the corner, hop into a rine base as a cloaked gorge and lay down 8 ocs in the base and the nearby sieges wont shoot them cuase they r cloaked?

    if motion tracking is researched, and an obs is beside the siege, yes they do infact fire on the cloacked structure... sometimes, sieges are a bit buggy atm i think, as the mt highlights the nearby structure as a moving target.

    No, because the structures aren't cloaked the instant you drop them, giving the turrets time to lock on, and no, because firing OC's become visible.

    And everything in the splash damage takes damage, invisible or not.

    are you sure it's not just because the ob uncloaks the stuff in range though?

    and yeah, stuff isn't cloaked when you drop it... that's why a lot of people put down a chamber then put up a hive when they're trying to sneak one up; all the turrets and the siege will blat the chamber first giving the hive time to cloak ^^

    i have noticed that when you place an obs next to a siege, the marines cant "sight" a building to make the siege shoot, it must be scanned by the comm

    i think its a bug left over from when the obs made the siege shoot anything in its range
