The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
<div class="IPBDescription">"Now with really hot chicks" ;)</div> I just saw the TV trailer last night! Check out the long version <a href='http://www.texaschainsawmovie.com/' target='_blank'>at the official movie site.</a>
The original gave me nightmares for weeks. I was only knee high to a grasshopper but I loved every minute of it. The myths and legends regarding the true story behind it only served to intensify the film. I can only hope the new version is as gritty and horrifying as the original--a must see for every horror film fan.

For all who haven't enjoyed the original, check you local video store for <a href='http://www.houseofhorrors.com/texas.htm' target='_blank'>one of the greatest horror films of all time (imho <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->)</a>
I love watching a cool horror/thriller flick and getting scared witless but TCM just made me giggle ^^;
This new one looks a little more atmospheric though and I won't have the hippies to laugh at this time XD
Is it disturbing/scary? I don't mean like "jump" scares or gore, but something that'll keep you awake at night afraid of shadows... I'm dying to see a movie that'll do that to me (again, I'm insane) but the only thing that's come even remotely close to disturbing me is the original Silent Hill game. Gore bores me, and 'jump' scares just get tiresome after the first two. ^^
Ahhhh, i need to see that, i accidently passed up tickets to the UK premiere which Rob Zombie et al turned up to. I was most annoyed at that.
Gore or Zombie films make me laugh, i love em.

What exactly is =3 ? a messed up mouth? A dude with no mouth? sagging balls? I don't get it!!! *cry*...
Now, on to the topic:
What ever happened to that cool show on TNT? with that dude and his trailer and the mail lady (who, apparently got a lot of mail, but I didn't think she looked that good, but it's irrelevant anyway).
I'd like to find a movie to scare me too (like Athena). I can never find anything scary....the last time I was scared of anything film/game related was AvP the first time as a marine, since I had never used the gun before (and it was one of my first FPS). I was like...err, what's that hissing, I don't wanna go down the tunnel, what If my gun doesn't work right or something....that was back before the in level saving....But AvP is obsolete now anyway....I'd like to also take this time to point out that System Shock 2, while being a cool game, is not scary...at all. Even with the lights off and everything.
The Ring is supposed to be scary...but....it wasn't. It was dumb....If anything, it was comedic how the horse fell off the boat and flipped (okay, the horse through the engine part wasn't funny, but that entire scene was stupid anyway).
House on Haunted Hill ....watch it if you want to laugh.
Alien would be the closest movie...but only because I jumped once the first time I saw it...I was never actually frightened of the alien.
Texas Chainsaw massacre is okay...can't say it's all that scary though. Maybe the remake will be......something...scarier or something (I just think I'm beyond the scareableness of movies and games).

I don't think House of 1000 Corpses is a Zombie movie.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre was strange, it was entertaining but not scary. The remake looks nothing like the original. But it might be worth it.
Anyone see the preview for House of the Dead? Oh god.
it's like =) but kitty-fied <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
seems about half the people I meet understand it... the other half are just pervy guys who think it's something else or just don't get it =P

Watching pretty people getting bludgeoned, skinned cut and torn apart sounds like fun to me.
