Hm...I might like it if the pic was of better quality. Right now I can't say I could see myself using it

Twiggy, here's a friendly warning: Your sig is to big...the maximum allowed is 400(width)x75(height). Yours measures 300x100, the height is too much.

Hmm, i'm not a big gun nut or anything, but i can see that the concept's just all wrong. The clip would be a pain to change since it's at an awkward angle away from you. Also, the barrel appears to be way too short causing 2/3 of the gun itself to do absolutely nothing. In short, it looks like an oversized pistol with an awkward clip.

Ontop of that, the height difference between the trigger and the forward hand grip appears to be too much, if the back of the gun was (as it appears it's supposed to be) rested in the shoulder, the resulting posture you'd have to keep to hold it would be uncomfortable. And we don't want achey arms when we're killing aliens now do we.

Another thing, the handle looks way too flimsy, the second you fire off a round i could see it breaking, make it a bit chunkier. It'd look better with a FN F2000 style underside, and probably with a bullpup clip too. Hell, it'd look better if it were an F2000 and not this piece of crap.

But then again, i don't know what i'm talking about when it comes to guns.

Spend long enough on any fps modelling forum, and "background gun nut knowledge" soaks in by itself I reckon..it's like osmosis or radiation...

I can't watch an action movie these days without looking to see what the guns are...:/ , same thing happened when I was trying to learn mapping, I'd mentally start breaking the room I was in down into map brushes....

I once found myself watching the telly and wondering how many polys Snoop Doggy Dog would be...

heres a take off of your design i just whipped up (quickly)
basic shape, but better implimented i think. i might just model it if you like it.

oh and the clip has a guide in the back of the p90 style grip
• Fox_OneFox_One Join Date: 2003-01-15 Member: 12310Members
Yeah I agree...a clip mounted that far forward would yield horrible accuracy, unless some mechanism magically moves the rounds back somehow...

well if u want to participate in a custimize community pls... try harder

no offense but this looks crappy and aslong u dont get along with a high quality sketch i dont think anyone will apend hours and hours modeling tex. and anim. it.

sorry this is really no offence but there are tooo many requests in this forum for my taste

here, a PS'ed version of it that i drew.

I would definently make this model if it was wanted bad enough.
• nthngnsdnthngnsd Join Date: 2003-07-26 Member: 18442Members
bashh that just wouldnt work
it just needs a handle, i mean where would u put your right hand on that gun?
• Daza4Daza4 Kerc Kasha Join Date: 2003-04-06 Member: 15233Members
i think you would hold it like a rifle hand on the magazine with fingers in the holes. It would hurt like hell but oh well
• nthngnsdnthngnsd Join Date: 2003-07-26 Member: 18442Members
maybe it's some kind of hovering gun u dont need to hold yourself
• sheena_yanaisheena_yanai Join Date: 2002-12-23 Member: 11426Members
whats up lately with all this slanted magazine concepts? lol
ive done one of them once some years ago... with a forward tilted magazine, reversed f2000 trigger config, and nice ergonomics.. i could post a pic of it

i love you Bashh

you can try to make without the handle, but i think whoever is gonna hold that will suffer from the p90 handle
