Reading all this somehow makes me wish I've joined the forums earlier. It just would have seemed weird for a 10 year old posting. I mean it's pretty normal for an 11 yea old to.

Same here, I saw the MOD, thought up a real cool idea, then forgot it after I registered. So I lurked for a couple of weeks and then started posting what I'd picked up. September 18th, Flayra sent out a call for skilled, talented mappers. For some reason, I responded with some of the worst mapping I've ever done in my life. It sure is a good thing those old Ultraboard posts seem to be dead and gone. Err... I mean, it's too bad that they're dead and gone...

Here's my "Hello!" post. I actually did post 5 or so posts beforehand (so I knew I wanted to stay), but it was all on the same day. I never knew I'll be a respected member of the board like I am now. And yes, it's the same sig and ava from the beginning more or less.

I really don't remember what mine was, but it was back in the UBB day, so it's impossible to retreieve :/ Damn... so long ago.

My only remembrance of that time is that i know for a fact i joined the forums on the same day as Mole, however i had viewed the forums for more then a month prior to that, just never had the time to post. I'm guessing back in september, maybe even early august was when i first took interest into NS.

My first post was another run-of-the-mill "Hi, I'm a n00b!" post, dated (I think) Nov. 26, 2001. It was way back on those god-awful, slow UBB forums, so unfortunately I can't dig it up. mine was back in the dayz with the old slow forum... i had to wait for like 4 minutes for just one page to load at the worst times... and that while i had cable internet and everything else worked fine :S

however, how many mambers did the old forums have when we changed to IBB?... how many people have joined since....

Hehe, I remember the days of Ultraboard... I joined the forums because I was on nightshift at work and was quickly running out of things to do. A couple months later Flayra sent out a request for Forum Moderators. I quickly typed up a "resume" to blow the competition away... few days later I was picked, much to many people's dismay.
