    ok I THINK sieging doubleres from Marine spawn is FAIR and most times not worth building a tf and obs there just to siege it, if you can build a tf at thoose rooms left or right, wich is a way better outpost, and you dont need that much scanner sweeps when marines go in at the same time.
    A bigger pronlem is that this siege range gives marines the ability to controll ALL but 3 RESNODES with that siege, Sub-5-hive and a big outpost on the right side.

    as i know KFS did not intend doubleres to be siegeable from marine spawn.

    Fairly easy counter for this.. those vents right on top of where the siege cannons have to be.

    Yeah, marines can weld them shut, but there's an answer for that too.

    I believe it was intentional, for several reasons. First, if it were not intentional, why would KFS create those small rooms? They appear to me to have been specifically designed to be siege rooms. Second, I find it unlikely that it would've been overlooked in the playtesting. And third, it is balanced out by the fact that, due to the vents above it, Nanogrid Status is also very difficult for the marines to hold.

    yeah in my opinion double res is a terrible place for marines to occupy anyway so it doesnt matter much...

    unless your against dumb aliens, they can easily bile bomb, like civ said...

    I actually like the fact that the Marines can seige the double-node from base (despite the fact that I play Kharaa most often) It keeps the game interesting because it makes a much-wanted area more difficult to control, as opposed to double nodes on other maps that, once you have them, you pretty much have them for good (Central Processing in ns_caged comes to mind).

    i think its just a general mistake.
    im not sure if it was intended or what, but letting the marines have 3 highly-secure res nodes just isn't a good idea; for ballances' sake.

    The map is marine biased, as if the long, wide, brightly lit hallways that 80% of the map is composed of didn't give it away.

    Yup, it's hard for aliens to win on this map vs. a decent marine team.

    I think its legit, tbh. Sure its not nice, but its legit. Because I've seen games where we've been able to WoL marines into their own spawn, with dbl res being the only place outlying rines can regroup to.

    Course you have to consider that you can just take every other RT but those, and as long as the rines dont have them either, then its all good.
