Comments
but some more detail on the lam as owen said
with the lam in it should look even more ravishing <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
keep up the excellent work
njroo ke
edit: oh yea rabbit, for the lam part that sticks out, can you make it hollow on the inside? like so that there are two points coming out, and theres a hollow area where you fit the lam in. if you dont get what im saying, ill post a concept to explain. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
if you goto www.milkshape3d.com>forums (can't get a link for some reason) you can look around and upload your model, and then post a Viewer, that way everyone online can experience the fully 3d model.
(once youve sprused it up a little, if you want)
and thanks for pointing out, i'll remodle that part <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
make sure you write down the link.
(plus, i got it to upload without the ms3d file being Zipped, or maybe i had converted it to a msz already...)
(you can convert your models by going to milkshape3d.com and then to the viewer, then right click it, open your model, and say "Creat package")
you must have an account... then goto the forums and post this:
<object id="MS3DViewerCtl" width="400" height="400" classid="CLSID:59131903-4A33-40D5-80C2-5242DD365AB3" codebase="http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/files/MS3DViewerOCX.cab#version=1,0,0,6">
<PARAM NAME="_Version" VALUE="65536">
<PARAM NAME="_ExtentX" VALUE="16007">
<PARAM NAME="_ExtentY" VALUE="12303">
<PARAM NAME="_StockProps" VALUE="0">
<PARAM NAME="URL" VALUE="[the link that the uploader gave you]">
</object>
(sorry i can't post links, Milkshape3d.com is wierd and always says milkshape3d.com whereever you are on the site..)
got bored, and applied the skin from the pic, came out like a weird cellshaded model lol
with skin
<img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/rabbiteh/pictars/rtx_pistol/photoskin.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
without skin
//edit
I agree with Burn...it'd be nice to be able to zoom, rotate, pan, and stuff...w could get a better feel for it
some computers are finaky about the viewer, and for no apparent reason...
Lam? uhh... Laser... aiming... modual?
Edit::
srry, didn't see that the link i posted doesn't work:
<a href='http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/models/uploadmodel.html' target='_blank'>http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/mo...ploadmodel.html</a>
that should work now.
Laser Aiming Module
theres nothing mechanic on it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
edit: maybe 2 calibration screws, and 1 or 2 screws to mount it on your pistol
here's the completed model in the 3d viewer, but i just cant get it to work! :\
anyone know whats wrong?
anyway here's a pic, rendered by my gewd friend Exess <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <3 (brazil renderer pwns all renderers!)
<img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/rabbiteh/pictars/rtx_pistol/RTXcomplete.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
sorry bout the big pic D:
the render above is done by my friend exess, and i dont think you can use brazil by itself. If im not wrong, its a plugin to be used with 3d studio max.
Laser Aiming Module
theres nothing mechanic on it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
edit: maybe 2 calibration screws, and 1 or 2 screws to mount it on your pistol <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
actually most modern lams dont have calibration screws. they have buttons and 1 pivot
one thing, how hard would it be to fatten the section under the barrel? like would it be hard to make the extension and the lam in it almost the thickness of the the barrel itself?
if this is gonna mess up the model or take too much effort, then leave it... i dun wanna mess up some beautiful work <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
njroo ke
1. open Milkshape3d.com\viewer (or something) there should be a page explaining the viewer itself.
2. right click the viewer window (should have a "genestealer" in it) and choose "Load model" (or something... srry vague instructions)
3. You should see your model all 3d and the like. Now, by right clicking, select the options you want (flat shaded or whatnot) for how you want others to see it at first (they can mess with it later, but this is how it looks when it is first loaded)
4. Now, below where the Load model option is, there should be "creat msz pakage" (or whatever that file is)
5. Goto the Upload page
6. locate the pakage you created with the viewer and upload it.
7. write down that link, you can't really find it if you forget it.
8. paste all that viewer crap into a new post, and add in your model's link that the uploader gave you.
9. post it and enjoy
(main thing is that you use the viwer to make a package, and upload that, not the ms3d file)
Looks like a tricked out 1911!
But i don't like the pointy sticks at the front for the LAM.
