how's it look?
This is a map layout I've been working on. It's set on a research ship that has been damaged. I would appreciate any suggestions on how it could be improved and what parts of the map are really good. I also need a different name for port and starboard engine. Thank you.

This looks like a map layout I saw just a few days ago . It looks like a good start allthough Nano research labs and Security HQ look like pretty strong choke points. Mabye something to think about.

Well, the small matter that he's using the same method as I am could have something to do with it.

yea. It's very linear since it narrows down to only 2 ways from rine start minus the vent. you should add more things looping round in the open space to the left and right of the rine start. Otherwise it looks good.

It is a good method for comming up with a layout. Unfortuatly, I'm not that good with MS Paint.

I think this version is a 30 day trial, you'd have to buy it for longer, but its really useful. It's actually a program to make games. It's nice for maps because you can make all different sizes of objects for hallways and rooms and things. Then u can just click on a bar on the side of the screen to add any object that you have made. Once you learn how to use it it is much faster than the default windows paint program.

Ok, I added waste disposal for a way around nano research lab and security HQ.

Edit: Post removed. I don't know what I'm talking about.

Layout looks pretty good... only slight concerns with whether the TSA friendly area actually is TSA friendly, but that's up to you to make sure there are long hallways and such.

Nice looking layout, but a lil advice would be to remove every single door you have. They seem to be to buggy and your map has way to many.

I prefer good old MS Paint, it looks nice smooth and is worth the extra effort. Games factory one looks messy and the colours are very irritating to the eyes.

Games Factory has a 16 bit pallette, converting it to GIF is what makes the colors messed up.

I would have to say move the left and right hives to the upper left/right according to their current position. They seem just to easy to expand to as the kharaa.
