Football training comin up soon!
Hey, this year I didn't play football because of surgery on my knee, and now I have to start training in about 3 weeks. I would like to show up in pretty good shape, but instead of my casual/boring jog every other week, I'd like to see what you guys think. I'm 5'11 and weigh 180 pounsd right now...I need to get to 160 again! I thought about running 1 or 2 miles a day, jump roping for 5-10 min, riding my bike for an hour, and lifting weights for an hour...

How exactly would I figure out how much weight I'd lose by doing that about 5 days a week? If you have any good ideas about getting in shape, lemme know!

Wait I know there is a qualified nutritionist in these forums I met him last week at our annual investors meeting. My stocks in NS are crashing. Some punk on wall street let his tongue run and told everyone Flayra was joining the CS:CZ team.

The problem is that there's not very much time to do that stuff once school starts. Factor that into my lack of commitment to ANYTHING and... I dont do much excersize anymore. (HOW DO YOU SPELL THAT?!)

Um, if you want to lose 20 pounds really fast, fast

Dance Dance Revolution. If you can't afford to spend that much money at the local arcade, (or if you're afraid of making a fool of yourself in public the 1st few times you try to learn the game) download Stepmania for your computer and pay $50-100 for a pad (and any necessary converters, such as PS2-to-USB). Best aerobic workout evar. This makes doing fancy jump rope stuff look about as athletic as using those arm muscles to open up a tub of ice cream.

Do a combination of Freeweights and running. If you want an intense workout, start off with a brisk jog, come home, lift ( Curls, benchpress) then take another run. Rinse and repeat until you are completely wiped out.

Make sure you stretch extremely well. And make sure you're hydrated at all times. Not to mention, this is extremely good for your heart.

you need to build muscle for 2 reasons. 1) to get stronger, and 2) because the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn naturally. Also, you need to tone those muscles, so yeah, jumpe rope, bicycle. I like to switch up between running and the bicycle, but don't do both every day. You need to pace yourself so that you don't get sick of it in 3 days and get sore and quit. Like Sirus said, drink LOTS of water. Yeah, that's my advice. Never been thin myself, but I was 1st string varsity strong guard/nose tackle my frosh and soph year in high school before I got a herniated disc in my back.

Muscles weigh more than fat don't forget. It depends on your commitment tho, if you set your mind to it you can achive almost anything; with a proper diet and exercise routine you will be in shape in no time. It can be a bit hard at first but once you start getting fitter you will find that you have a lot more energy due to your stamina levels being a lot higher.
