I'm curious as to why co_Angst seems to include the engine room hive from Bast. Take a close look at those pics. Is it a continuation of Bast? A tribute?

And when a single marine gets to your hive, you all die at once! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Had one of the greatest NS:C games ( around 40 minutes), with the game balanced, and a close alien finish ( there were like 3 onos knocking the CC while we tried to keep them away and weld it).
Poor HA ( a gorgie kept me webbed for like 5 minutes , running around me <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> )'
Yeah, you get one upgrade per level plus one right when you start. You can use this on one lvl3 upgrade, hive 2 then hive 3 abilities, and higher evolutions one at a time. That skulk probably has Leap by now...
Marines are similar with lvl3 weapons -> shottie -> higher weapons, welder/mines, lvl3 armor -> jp -> ha, and things like health, ammo, scan, and beacon which work automatically for all people in one area when needed.
I'm pretty sure this is accurate, at least for now.
Yeah, you can get a max of 9 points. With each point you can get whatever you want, and everything in the game costs 1 point. Some things ( like onos, fade, lerk, or hmg, gl, ha, jp) are only avaialbe with certain upgrades.
But overall very flexible and allows for many combos.
I got two quick questions, is there supposed to be reload animations in 2.1 and if there is, can I see a screenshot of it? thought I read it in the patch log.

NS:C is nothing like Gloom, OzzKloz. The game concepts are similar but comparing the two games is like comparing Battlefield: 1942 and Command and Conquer. Yes, it's marines versus aliens, and that's where the similarities end.
Just curious, what is the full tech tree for marines? At what level do you have to be to get certain weapons? Do I have to get LVL3 weapons to get a shotty and LVL 3 armor for a JP?
lvl 1 weapons -> shotgun -> HMG/GL (lvl 3 is available seperately after lvl 2) lvl 1 armor - > lvl 2 armor -> JP/HA (lvl 3 is available seperately after lvl 2) Support (not too sure about this one) - Welder, Motion Tracking, Mines, Resupply (3 levels of resupply?), Distress Beacon all seperate and each costing 1 level. Mines are one time use only (I believe you get 5?), everything else you will respawn with. Resupply is automatic and you will recieve medpacks/ammopacks from the "commander" when you need them.
