<div class="IPBDescription">1st combat map?</div> I've been very inspired by the promise of the upcoming co_ gameplay mode. This inspiration has driven me to make co_angst.

Until co_ is playable we won't know if this map is going to be any good, but i'd like to know what you think of the map so far.

    Hm, hope this doesn't mean the end of your regular mapping Chrome. You have some very beautifully made maps that I think should have made it into 2.0 (*cough Atomicmass*)

    Nazul, check the end of the offical mapping guidelines, it has a whole section about the co_ gameplay mode.

    To stop this thread becoming totally pointless i'm going to post my co_ layout ideas that I have based co_angst on. These at least I can share with you <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    1st picture the abstract layout. Each team spawn room has 2 exits, these lead to 2 mid-way rooms. The midway rooms are cross linked to give some tactical flexibility.

    2nd picture the minimap (it has level over level sections so this is of limited use). Extra rooms were added to the connecting paths to add interest and vents for useful shortcuts. The late additon of a hive to the co_ specification caught me out. Later verisons will not have a into the hive room (at least not one you can shoot the hive from).

    I just had to mention that all the screenshots of combat mode so far are taken of co_angst, which is something I feel proud of (even if the parts of the map you see are unaligned and covered with blood decals).

    I may be allowed to post some atmospheric shots now, if I can get something combat based in shot <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
