A Few Quick Questions From...

<div class="IPBDescription">Somebody that needs to catch up.</div> Right. I haven't had a chance to play 2.x yet but will be able to in a few days. Now I've been keeping up with the gameplay changes so I know what's up with that, but I need a bit of review on the old changes, specifically on the command interface changes from 1.04 to 2.0. How do hotgroups work again? How do I jump to different marines requesting ammo/health and how do my key binds get changed whenI enter commander mode?

    Just like in Red Alert or Starcraft, select a group and press ctrl+# to create a hot group, but ya cant do this with structures unfortunately <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Press space bar or a new feture is up the top of comm screen a marine button will apear, click on it and it will take you to the marine in need

    Youd either have to go into the menu or do it thru console. The new hotkeys for building structures are easy, they are asdf , zxcv etc for dropping structures or ammo etc, depending on which tab your in (ammo, structure, weapon etc)

    Hotgroups are done by pressing your <b>crouch</b> key and whatever keys you have slots 1-5 bound to. You can also hotgroup <i>individual</i> buildings.

    You jump to the requests by pressing your jump key.

    The commander menus are mapped over QWER, ASDF and ZXCV as was said before (top left button is Q, bottom right is V). This can be changed in your config, though I've never felt the need.

    I'm sooo going ot suck my first few days playing again. It'll be like my first time palying NS ever back in 1.03.

    I just remembered another question. There's been so many builds I suddenly forgot if you can +use movement chambers to teleport to a hive in 2.1 <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> Oh and are many servers upgrading to 2.1 or are the majority still in 2.0x mode?

    Movement chambers still do the teleport thing, and they give an energy boost to kharaa around them too. No effect on build times, spawn rate, etc.

    Servers have all sorts of different versions on them, including old betas. It'll probably be a few days before the majority have the current, official release, and in a week or two just about all of them should be up to date.
