Neverwinter nights or morrowind?
<div class="IPBDescription">Buying game, post ideas too</div>I'm looking for a new game to buy with my birthday money, and I'm looking at either Neverwinter Nights or Morrowind, right now I'm looking more at Neverwinter Nights (also because of the level editor) but I've heard some great stuff about morrowind from my friends. Right now I'd really just like everyone's oppinion on which game is better. If you want, you can also post ideas for games that you think would be a better buy. I also already have Warcraft III, so don't mention that one.
If you haven't played both, you can just post what you like about the one you have played, but I'd really prefer that you only give an oppinion about which is better if you have actually played both of them.

I hated Morrowind, perhaps the most boring 2 hours of gaming I've ever wasted time on.
And Neverwinter Nights is the exact same game as Baulder's Gate, but in 3D...
get Grand Theft Auto 3.
or put the money for a hardware upgrade or some DVDs :P
I never played Baulder's Gate either, so I don't really care if its a knock off or not ...

And Grand Theft Auto 3 isn't just Grand Theft Auto 2 in 3D?
Neverwinter Nights it is then, I guess
Morrowind can't be completed, which I found annoying. Its also quite slow to get around, so if you don't enjoy just playing a game, then you won't like it.
Morrowind is also more good looking, though I had some problems with the interiors.
If you want a really great one-shot story then go with Morrowind.
NWN on the other hand has more replay value.
Both of them have come with good tools for the extenion of the game, and if Morrowind was multiplay I'd recomend it above NWN.
In Morrowind, it's much more like Real Life. You can do -anything-. And that's the problem. You can -do- anything, so there's nothing really driving you to complete the game. It's much more laid back. Which is why people say it feels like Everquest.
So it just depends on what you're looking for. I liked both. (Though Morrowind is funnier.)
