    Wow that was quick!

    Are you sure you saw all the links?

    You need to see all the Accord's links to do it justice. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm with the Toyota, be it for aesthetics. I'd just recommend going and test driving the pair and see which one you prefer. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I take it the buying of a new car is related to the road rage story then.
  • homerxhomerx Join Date: 2003-04-01 Member: 15094Members
    This isn't related to the road rage thread. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I was already planning to buy a new ride some months ago. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Actually, these sedans that we are choosing from are just gonna be my 2nd choice.

    My first choice are SUVs.

    I have my reasons for not including other vehicles.

    One major reason is I live in a small country in Asia.

    Sadly, we have limited choices in vehicles as of now, but its getting better.

    Btw, my car right now is a 2002 GLX Lancer! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I would choose...

    None of them! I drive a old caprice classic, huuuggeee car but a blast to drive. The V8 has some balls to it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    In general, I dont like jap imports... If you want a good all-around driving car, and have a bit more cash to spend I would look up one of Mercedes CLK sports coups, the newer ones are pretty damn cheap... and perform very well.

    <img src='http://www.edmunds.com/media/roadtests/roadtest/02.mercedes.c230/02.mercedesbenz.c230coupe.f34.500.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

    Im not a big fan of its looks, but it is fun to drive.

    Just one question pops in my mind when I think of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI's, and the Lancer EVO series.....

    WHY DIDN'T THEY MAKE 2 DOOR VARIANTS?!

    I mean they both have really great engines to back it up, why not ditch the 4 door look?!

    I'd have a Mercedes. And the only reason why are those nice neon night-lights that are bright white and instead of the pale yellow. And there's nothing like a Mercedes being silver, that's beauty gentlemen.
  • homerxhomerx Join Date: 2003-04-01 Member: 15094Members
    Uhm, just slap on an HID kit on any car's pale yellow light and it WILL shine brighter and whiter than any stock Mercedes'.

    Thats really a dumb way to pick a car over the other.

    Some people actually prefer the Ford Expedition over the Chevrolet Tahoe because of one stupid thing:

    The Expedition's side steps have lights.

    WOW.

    How stupid can people get?

    Mercedes have always been luxury cars... I have always though black was their best color.

    All I care for is whats under the hood, and as long as it has a v6 or more im happy.

    GWAR,

    Whats wrong with Mazda RX-7 and RX-8's?

    How about Subaru Impreza's and Mitsubishi Evo's?

    These cars can beat V8's, V10's and even V12's.

    I'm not hating on muscle cars, on the contrary I'd love to own one.

    I just can't stand close-minded people who think anything lower than a V6 is nothing but crap.

    I'm going to be nice with this - for the moment - but any more spam and you will be smited. And please don't bump it again homerx if the topic is dieing let it go ;p

    I just bumped it 'cause the NS forums moves so fast, I think not everyone has had the chance to see this thread.

    Anyway, maybe that just means that most of the NS communty aren't car enthusiasts.

    Hmm.... Also, may I ask why 1 bump is labelled as spam?

    I know I may have bumped this thread a couple of times, but they weren't consecutive.

    And everytime I do bump, someone else does post something that enlightens me.

    Hmmm?

    Like I said, I dont like jap cars for various reasons. I would rather spend my money restoring a classic, Or save up for a mercedes <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    4 cylinders just dont have guts, a V6 is superior to them in every way. You still get those high revs kids are obsessed with, and you get some low-mid range power as well. A turbo V6 is a awesome city car.

    *hugs V8* My car makes the ground shake... Can yours? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I love classic muscle cars as much as the next guy.

    BUT saying 4 cylinders don't have guts?

    PLEASE check out Nissan Skylines, Mitsubishi EVO's, Toyota Supras, Impreza's, and RX-7's.

    These 4 bangers can beat V8's - V12's.

    I've seen Supra's humiliate V10 Vipers, RX-7's beat V8 Mustangs, and so on and so forth.

    EDIT: Take a look at this, while I search for some more 4 bangers.

    I could care less if X car can beat Y car.

    Beating a Viper isnt saying much anyway.... stock vetts can beat them off the line pretty easily.

    EDIT: Another reason I hate pathetic 4 bangers, no freaking room in them. im 6,2 200 lbs, driving them for a few minutes hurts my neck. Even moreso then a damn camaro.

    I'm 5'11 and I do agree that some 4 bangers are cramped, but some (specially the new ones) aren't.

    I wish I could get the link that had this video clip of an 8 second Supra... (I'd like to see a vette beat that) <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'll try to look for the link.

    EDIT: This wasn't what I was looking for but I guess it will have to do for now.

    <a href='http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Merchant/8sec.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Merchant/8sec.shtml</a>

    PS: This means there are more than one 8 second Supras out there <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
