TBH looks ugly that gun, as for a HMG version:
1) No round clip thing.
2) Nice and beefy, the pictures make it look weak.
3) No front grip.

The stock calico with 50 rounds would make a decent LMG, except that it's fugly.

The helical magazine however isn't a bad idea, especially for a HMG. My budget arms 6mm uses one

Meh I personally don't like it...I have to agree it's pretty fugly (f***in' ugly)

Oh, and...

guilty spark, the round clip thing is pretty much the concept the gun is built around, removing it would make using it as a reference pointless

awesome gun, but im thinking the v_model for it would be pretty bland and chunky.
• DelarosaDelarosa Naturally Custom Join Date: 2002-11-29 Member: 10214Members, NS1 Playtester
that and the round clip is how they get 100 rounds, in such a small space...

this is why there aren't that many HMG models... hard to find a gun that really *fits*

I Think it is a good gun, but you would be better to use the 50 round magazine pistol version for a LMG, and none of those guns on the webpage are suitable for HMG use, only LMG.

this one would be another good LMG.....

if anything...id say you make a G36k and add upgrades on it to make it seem more futuristic..plus using custom sounds that can make it seem realstic (if for HMG) use the G36E with C-Mag red dot sight 40mm AG36 and lotsa other stuff...hack stuff up the calico kinda looks like a paintball gun...lol
either taht or be a hacker(in terms of modelling) combining parts from other guns to make it seemn futuristic and fit NS

I think it would be better as a LMG myself, but if your going with HMG, then yeah you need to make it look beefy. You got the one with the stock and foregrip so thats good so far... just beef it up. Oh, and I wonder what crabby will say when he sees this...

Ah, yes, The Calico. I utterly Adore the gun, so much so it made it into the TSO Pack as my LMG. Del's seen it, and dont judge a gun by it's looks, some of the best guns created are also the ugliest.

At The Real Vash (lol, vash talking to vash) Yesh I did, I just dropped in on the thread again and saw the high-res one, nice stuff. Still wont' use it cause of the whole 6 rounds verus 10 in NS...sorry...I'm a realisim ****.

Back on topic, well if Del has seen the TSO pack then it's all good, I was wondering how come he had the exact same pic as Crabbeh... Either way, I'm intruiged to see how this turns out Del!

I know it's a good gun and the clip has to be like that for the 50 bullets but for a HMG version do what the NS HMg does and have like a C-mag.

If you don't have anything good to say about the model, then whats the point of saying anything at all ? i like this idea, not many games or mods have the calico apart from chaser, thats the only time ive seen it.

Its not a very nice looking gun, but I have to say being able to fit 100 rnds in such a small package is a nice addition.
That gun looks like it would be back heavy even with the 50 rnd mag.
I bet its a poor shot, recoil would ruin your aim when its got all that back weight.
• Mr_HeadcrabMr_Headcrab Squee!~ Join Date: 2002-11-20 Member: 9392Members, Constellation
accually, the recoil is surprisingly light, plus, with 50 round full auto, who needs to aim anyway?
